"Carmen you better hurry back" the cheer captain explained to the Brunette girl who now stood in her cheer outfit ready for the game. She had just practiced almost the whole day the routine the girls where doing for todays game. Her cheer captain was a bossy perfectionist who acted like a their silly dancing for the basketball game was a cheer championship.
"I'll be back in a minute I promise " she faked a sweet expression frowning as soon as she turned around. She hated the girl not for any important reason just the pure fact that she bossed her around. She hated following orders that weren't her parents she even broke some of her parents rules if that bitch thought Carmen would obey just to be on the cheer squad she was out of her mind.
Carmen walked out of the gym into the parking lot hoping to find Steve. She waved at some boys who whispered to each other grinning at the girl trying to look up her skirt. Before turning into the parking lot where she saw the boy sitting on his trunk with his two little followers and a girl named Nicole.
"Hey Nicole" Carmen sweetly said ignoring the other three still angry about what they did at lunch. Even though she was angry she wanted Steve to go to the game in her support not that she needed him but she liked having him there. Nicole waved at Carmen surprised the brunette even acknowledged her used to her just ignoring her presence. Before Carmen could ask what the girl was doing here Steve grabbed a hold of her. "Why is little ole Car mad at her bestest friend Steve" Steve joked with a baby voice scooting over so she could sit next him.
She glanced at Steve's two knuckleheads he called friends before answering seeing they were far to busy with each other to hear her. "You allowed those assholes to humiliate my sister you sat there with your dumb smile like getting into her pants was your greatest conquest you know I detest man like that" she quietly ranted anger visible in her tone shaking her head in disappointment.
"I know and I'm sorry I won't let it happen again ok" Steve claimed hugging the girl forcefully as she frowned. "You better Harrington or I'll beat your ass and that's a promise" Carmen affirmed looking at the boy sternly to get her point across. He nodded looking around at the parking lot his arm still over the girls shoulder.
Carmen goes through her bag searching for a mirror wanting to fix her make up that's she probably sweated off. She was about to ask for her sister when Jonathan Byers walked right in front of them. Steve hurriedly gets of his car and marched towards the boy. "Hey man" Steve says the others following right behind him. Carmen still sat on the trunk with a mirror on her lap watching cautiously her eyebrows knitted together in confusion not knowing why Steve was speaking to Jonathan knowing it was for no good reason.
"What's going on" Jonathan asked taking a step back glancing at the teens approaching him. "Nicole here was uh telling us about your work" Steve teases staring at the boy who looked around nervously. Carmen rolled her eyes still not understanding why these four were messing with the boy."We've heard great things"Carol sarcastically adds a fake smile in her face. "yeah sounds cool" Tommy adds as well mockingly laughing.
