Adeline was just told that she and her mother would be moving again, which was nothing to her. she was use to packing up and moving to different places, town city etc., because of her mom job as art designer for a big company which doesn't bother Adeline like use to. she cant be really mad at her mom for trying to make a better life for the both them even if that meant to move to different states to do, even thought-out all the moving Adeline doesn't get a chance to make friends or to join any clubs at her pervious high schools she been to. Adeline guess that why all her old classmate gave her the nickname ''the shy girl in the shadows'', she never knew what they meant but after a while she understand what it meant she never in the same high school long enough to talk to anyone sometimes Adeline only stay at a school for a month or so but even so when she was there her old classmate would say that they would see her with her nose stuck in the book never really noticing the world around her. but sometime when Adeline alone she couldn't help but wish she could stay longer in one place to experience these thing like making new friends, going to dances or even fall in love with someone. even though Adeline would never tell her mother that or how she truly feels, she never wants to hurt her mom so Adeline just goes with the moving progress over and over just so her mom would be happy.
Adeline was in her bedroom just repacking her belonging in the small home that her mom and her share in Canada it has always be Adeline and her mom Chrissy as long as she could remember. Adeline's dad wasn't in her life since she was born she guesses her dad left after he found out her mother was pregnant with her. yes she was sad but what can she do not every adult deservers to be a parent or have kids but Adeline was grateful she still had her mom. hearing the front door open pull her out of thought, hearing her mom call for her to come downstairs.
'' Adeline are you here'' she heard her mom yell from downstairs but instead of yelling Adeline just put down what she was doing and walk down to her mom. as she walking down she heard her mom yell once more.
''Adeline'' oh honey there you are'' Chrissy replied seeing her daughter coming into view. '' did you get everything packed?" her mother asked which earn a small nod confirming she did pack all her all her things but a few thing that need to go in her backpack before they leave for the airport. '' alright honey go your bag and then we go to airport, the mover will take our boxes to the new house while we'll in the plane''. Chrissy said while looing at her daughter who had a sad and tired look on her face. Chrissy knows the all the moving is taking a toll on her daughter but it had to be done, being a single parents she needs to make sure her and Adeline would have a good future but Chrissy couldn't help sometimes that she feel bad that her daughter cant live her life. Chrissy watched Adeline walked back upstairs until she could no longer see her. all Chrissy could hope is that this move was permanent for her daughter sake.
few minute later Adeline walked back downstairs but this time with backpack in toe to see her mom waiting for her, walking towards her mom who looked up from her foldable chair in the Livingroom, stand up and folding up the chair turning her head towards daughter.
