The bright sun shining through the window and hitting my face. I scrunched my face and looked the other direction of the bed trying to go back to sleep.

My alarm rang loudly alerting me that I have to wake up right now. I groaned and hit the snooze button on it. I got out of bed and neatly made it and headed to the bathroom. I did my daily morning routine and went to the main bedroom to get my clothes.

When I entered the room last night's flashbacks replayed as I looked at the untidy bed before me. So it wasn't just some nightmare I had huh?? I bit my lip to prevent me from crying and started walking towards the walk-in closet.

I eventually got dressed and made my way downstairs. Took my phone and car keys and headed to the car. I got in the car and sighed inhaling and exhaling the car freshener.

I looked at the house once again and sighed. This was the house Andrew and I built our love on. Or should I say I built my love on. Our marriage was basically one-sided to be honest.

I then started the car and made my way to the office

I got to the building and parked my car on my reserved parking spot. I got of the car and made my way to the building. When I entered the building, people started staring and whispering things about me to each other.

I decided to ignore that and made my way to my office. I got on the elevator and hit the 10th floor button. The elevator dinged notifying me that I've reached the floor. I made my way to my office and shut the door behind me.

I started getting myself to work and after a while someone entered the office. I looked up and saw that Andy entered the office. Her pink short hair filled the room with light. Andy is my 10 years best friend. She's gay but she never tried her gay stuff on me. She's also engaged to a very petite short woman and I must say the woman is perfect for her.

She made her way toward me and offered an innocent smile. "Good morning Marissa. " she said still smile. I shot her a weak smile and mumbled a good morning. She then started speaking again, "I did what you asked and she said she'll be here by 10:00." "Did you do a background check on her??" I asked. "Marissa don't worry she's my neighbour's sister so of course I did a background check on her." She said assuring me. "Anything dangerous about her that I should know of??" I asked. "No." She said. I got up the chair and went to where Andy was standing and hugged her.

"Thank you very much you know how much I appreciate you. " I then let go and sat on top of my desk. "Is Jason at work??" I asked. "No." She replied. "Please get me a new assistant. " "What?! Why?! Come on Marissa you know Jason is the only one who was able to handle you for months now."

"He would've thought about that before he had my husband riding his dick." Andy looked at me shocked with her mouth opened. She then sat down on the chair next to the desk and held my hand in hers.

"So this is why he wants a divorce??" I nodded with teary eyes. "Honey don't cry for him. Listen there are lots of men out there who are looking for women like you. If not men then women." She said the last part wiggling her perfect eyebrows at me.

I laughed while wiping my tears. "You know very well I'm not gay." I said to her jokingly as I rolled my eyes. "You never know until you try out one." She said smirking.

I got up and moved to sit in my office couch. "I'm sure you have some work to do so now get out." I shouted jokingly. She looked at me funny and when she was about to answer her phone rang.

"Hello... Ohh yes I'm at the office.. Alright I'll be there right now... Okay thank you bye." I gave her a questioning look. "She's here." She said and started walking towards the door.

"I'm going to bring her here alright??" I just nodded as tears threatened to leave my eyes again. So this is it. I'm going to give Andrew what he really wants. I let out a shaky breathe and had the door open once again. I quickly got rid of the tears and fixed myself while sitting properly.

Andy got in with a tall woman wearing a black pantsuit with few of her white dress shirt buttons unbuttoned. Her black hair was in a high ponytail showing off her shaved hair at the back.

I then studied her. She had broad shoulders, her skin looked soft and clear, she had a sharp jawline, cheekbones were very sculpted, a pointy nose, grey orbs and red plump lips. My eyes travelled to her hands.

One word to describe them. Veiny. I was taken out of my thoughts by someone clearing her throat. Andy. She then told the lady in front of me my name and everything she needed to know about me. After that she left the room and silence filled it. She cleared her throat and spoke up.

"Excuse me ma'am, I'm Brooke Davis and I'll be your lawyer for your divorce case." She said with her hand out. Her voice was feminine yet masculine. I looked at her hand with tears in my eyes. She pulled back her hand slowly.

"Not fond of shaking hands I see. And ma'am don't worry I will make sure you everything goes well." I just nodded while I looked at her

She then moved to my side and crouched down next me. She wiped my tears and looked at me while smiling genuinely. "Don't cry all will be well."

I offered her a sit next to me on the couch.

"So what would you like to start with Mrs Henderson?" I scrunched my face at her calling me by Andrew's surname.  She noticed my look and decided to call me by my surname, Wilson. "So Miss Wilson where would you like to begin with the case?"
