Chapter 2

"There is always a glimmer in those who have been through the dark"

New Roommates!?

"The human is escaping!"

A high pitch screech boomed inside the apartment which got you moving in an instant. Bursting through the door, your eyes immediately lands on a demon? Of sorts, your brows scrunching in confusion as you eyes lock with him, your adrenaline shooting through the roof as you realize there are strangers in your house!

"There's another human!" The salmon-haired boy warns as he jumps from the floor and rushes towards you, pushing his arms out of the way, you ducked to avoid being apprehended and ran forward. Your eyes immediately landing on multiple people? Demons? It wasn't really your priority at the moment to know what these creatures are.

You feel fear creep into your bones as you see Ava throwing a frying pan at the man with ravenette hair at full force and not flinching once. Ava dashing towards you, feeling overwhelmed with the situation already, you tug her back with you towards the exit, your pulse beating loudly in your ears alongside loud footsteps catching up behind you.

Your clammy hand separated from Ava's as you saw her get tugged back by the tallest of the bunch, a soft gust of wind blew from your back, your feet already moving to action to get the hell away from whatever spawned behind your back. The salmon haired demon managed to pop up last second in front of you, your head bumping into his armor quite hardly, you felt your head get dizzy.

Arms circling your frame quite tightly, you heard Ava's squeals of terror ring out through the apartment, her cries made your head pound a bit. "Leif, make peace with them", you heard one of the strangers speak out. Groaning to see who exactly Leif was, you saw the one with white hair crouch in front of Ava, showing his sharp pearly whites, you wince knowing this would just scare Ava more.

Her squeals turns into screech of terror, exclaiming "he's got teeth!" wow, never thought that'd scare anyone, you snicker. "What did I do?" you scoff, finding this whole scenario silly, what in the hell is going on here exactly?

The one holding you chuckles, "wow, never seen someone reject your smile like that"

"She seems to be immune to your charm", you notice the two approaching you both, which gets you back on alert once again, your heart clambering in your chest, as the blue one instructs "Leif" to try his charms on you this time. Leif turning back to you, he tries to calm you down, cooing sweet things to you, he smiles which causes you to yowl instead.

Shivering in fear as you try to push away from Leif, you struggle in the salmon haireds embrace, Ava's screeches became cries of help once again, you join in with her, trying to call out for help from the neighbors at least.

"Hm... perhaps it's a cultural misunderstanding, she's going to alert the other E-urth's residences" turning to both of our captors, he commands them "calm them both down, now.", and without warning you felt your captors hand seal your mouth shut, the same happening to Ava, your fear taking control of you now, you struggle harder than you did before.

"The noise is still unbearable! Ugh, I'll shut them up"

The one in a cloak, its large fur on its hood tickling his neck a bit, raised his hand and manifested a ball of fire, you cower in fear, now realizing how bad this situation is, that's real magic! Your cries slowly die down while Ava's still persistent, not noticing the danger that was summoned a while ago.

"Asch! Stop! We need them to trust us" the blue one in a robe interrupted "asch"

"hurting them won't help us" walking towards you, "we'll just wait for her to stop and look, this one had already quieted down", turning back the to hot headed one "She should be done by any moment now" he tried to smile assuringly, you just felt bad knowing that's not how Ava worked.
