Under the moonlight

"Oh I bet they're whispering sweet nothings to each other"

Watching the foliage dance under the wind, you smile at the vibrant green the sun has brought out of the plants. Such a nice day, you thought. As people walk by the park, you sigh in content at the nice weather, the bustling city that once filled your ears was instead focused on the panicked voices of your friends.

Chuckling at their antics, it's not even a real date! Turning back, you smile widely at their flushed states, finding it adorable. "Y/N! Don't laugh at us!" you snicker at her state, "It's not even a real date! You both should just act natural so they won't notice." your whole body now facing the duo, you approached them.

Grabbing both of their hands, you connected it. A peep was heard from Ava, while Noi looked wide eyed to you. "But! But-!" hushing her immediately, you take a step back. They look like a sweet couple, your heart pinched at that thought, you ignored it. "How about this, why don't you just tell them you met Noi through me? I did tell them that they're my friends that I cosplay with, hm?" you offered, hoping to placate her panic.

"I-! That's actually not a bad idea" Calming down, she still was holding Noi's hand, turning back at the sight, you hum back. Looking at the nice greenery, but noticing a man hit and stumbling down on nothing, what the? "Okay, don't say anything dumb, and follow along what I say or do" Ava scheming with the poor guy.

As you stared out of the scenery, Noi looks back at you with hesitancy. As much as he loves the warmth in his hand when he's holding Ava's, he feels a certain blush creep up his face at the thought of holding yours instead. Standing there all alone, he fights back the urge to come stand next to you, to occupy that empty space at your side, his hand twitching to intertwine with yours once again, wanting to feel a familiar warmth.

Hearing a pair of footsteps approach you both, you all turn to the source. "Oh did we interrupt something?" Seeing Devon basically vibrate at the sight, Ava and Noi was covered in a harsh blush, both holding hands, you chuckled. Seeing both the adults whisper, the three of you obviously hearing what they're whispering about, you cleared your throat.

"You know it's weird that you're standing right infront of us and whispering loudly." the both gasping out after being called out, they apologize. "We're just curious about a lot of things." but before Andrew could explain more, the waiter popped up. All looking back at the waiter announcing your table being ready, you all file in the restaurant, you looking back momentarily, feeling something watching you guys, you just shrug it off.

Taking your seat between the two couples, Devon on your right and Noi on your Left, you watch the others settle down in their seats. Devon starting off "So... Noi was it?" he immediately looked shocked, as if he didn't just introduce himself a while ago, wanting to already leave this conversation, you just sigh.

"Ava mentioned your name in the apartment"

"O-oh yea! I did!"

"Trust me, I listen to things closely"

"We both listen closely, the only difference is Devon here will bring it up three weeks later when you don't wash the dishes." Devon immediately defending himself, of course they bicker like an old couple, you smile at that, wondering what would that feel like. Directly looking out the window, you see small movement, but where? Your eyes can't seem to pinpoint where it is but you know something's moving out there.

The faint smell of pizza immediately distracts you from the thought, you tune back in to their conversation. "I did want to ask, how did you meet our sweet baby?" looking back expectantly at the two, they should know what to say here. Ava looking like she forgot the answer, Noi immediately pipes up.
