I apologise for changing the name constantly.
Amelinda - the noble serpent.

I grew both curious and annoyed when she dragged me outside. "Close your eyes!" she exclaimed, her excitement palpable. I complied and shut my eyes tightly.

"Open them now! Do you like her? I remember when you mentioned..." I cut her off mid-sentence with a tight embrace. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! Oh my Gosh!" I practically screamed with joy.

"Alright, calm down and take her before I change my mind," Emmett grumbled as he handed me the small creature. "I'll name her 'Amelinda'," I declared, watching as she slithered up my hand.

(If you do not like snakes, I'm sorry just live with it:)

"Hey, Amelinda," I whispered to the snake in my hand. "Pleasure to meet you, Miss," she hissed in response. "I'm Y/n, nice to meet you too," I hissed back quietly, making sure to keep our conversation low so Dumbledore wouldn't overhear. I wasn't sure how he would react to a talking snake.

We continued walking down the alley until we reached a shop to purchase ingredients and a cauldron. I opened the door, pulling out my letter and list of items.

"How can I assist you, Miss?" the shopkeeper asked as I handed her the letter. "Can you help me find these ingredients?" I inquired. Her eyes scanned the page, and then suddenly her gaze froze. She looked up at me, then back at the list.

"Are you really Y/n Lily Potter?" she asked, her voice filled with disbelief, shock, and excitement. I simply nodded in response. Her face lit up, and she took my hand, shaking it vigorously.

"It's an honor to meet you, Y/n Potter," she grinned. I returned the smile. "I can gather your supplies while you go and find your cauldron over there," she informed me, pointing in the direction of the shelves, before walking away.

I made my way toward the cauldron section, walking down the third row. There, I found black cauldrons of various sizes and shapes.

"Hey, are you a first-year too?" a male voice asked from behind me.

I turned around and saw a boy with white-blond hair that matched his grey eyes. He appeared to be around 11 years old.

"Hey, yeah, I'm a first-year. What's your name?" I asked, extending my hand for a handshake. "Draco, Draco Lucius Malfoy. And you?" he replied, shaking my hand."Y/n Lily Cullen-Potter. It's my pleasure to meet the Heir of the Noble House of Malfoys," I responded, withdrawing my hand after the handshake. "Wait, like Y/n Potter, the Twin Who Lived?" Curiosity seeped through Draco's words.

'As expected,' I thought to myself. "Yes, that's me. Although, I prefer to be called Y/n Cullen-Potter," I told him, sensing his growing excitement. "Let's go. My father would be quite delighted to meet you," he said, attempting to maintain his composure.

Following his lead, we made our way to the first row of shelves. That's when I noticed a man and a woman—both white-blond, tall, and with slightly pale skin. I recognized them instantly, realizing they were not vampires.

"Mother, Father, meet my new friend. She's also joining the first years," Draco informed them, gesturing for me to introduce myself.

"Good manners the boy has," I thought. "Y/n Lily Cullen-Potter. It's a pleasure to meet the Lord and Lady of the Noble House of Malfoys," I introduced myself, nodding in their direction. "First impressions are important."

As my words reached the man's ears, he turned fully toward me, wearing a proud smirk. He glanced briefly at his son before fixing his gaze back on me.

"Narcissa Malfoy. Nice to meet you, dear," she introduced herself with a smile on her face. "I liked her. She's a nice and intelligent woman," I thought to myself."Lucius Malfoy. The pleasure is all ours," he responded with a nod. "I hope we'll see each other soon. Excuse me, my time is limited. I need to get home before it starts to rain."

They nodded, and as I made my way to the third row to retrieve my cauldron, Draco spoke up from behind me. "Is that a snake? I didn't see it before." I turned around, looking down at my left hand where Amelinda was resting.

"Yes, Emmett and Rosalie got her for me today," I replied. "Are they your friends?" Draco inquired. "Ask me at the train station in September. If you can find me, that is," I replied with a mischievous grin, before hurrying over to the woman who had gathered my ingredients.

Why did I do that, you may ask? Well, now it's him who will be searching for me, not the other way around. That's the fun part.

I paid for my supplies and joined everyone outside, ready to use the Floo Powder to return home.
