A New World

He was born in this new world. A world where everything is the same but still different. A world where they have kings and queens, princes and princesses but they stay far away from the lives of the general public. That is not to say they don't hold the position or the people in the kingdom don't respect them or love them, they do. But the Palace does not interfere in their lives.

It was not always the same though. This world was a very different place when the great war broke out. It was dominated by the then king, known as the cruel All for One. He was called The Mad King, as a testament to his maddening need to be the most powerful of all. The same need, later on, became the reason for his demise. Though it is argued that he is not dead, his legacy is not dead but being kept hidden by his followers. Waiting in hiding for the right time.

Human beings are complex creatures, their own complexes overpower their judgment of right and wrong. It makes them follow and surrender to the strong one even when they know they should not.

But as everything in nature is balanced, evil is balanced too. It was the first time in centuries, Kingdoms saw someone stand up to the Mad King. They thought of him to be a foreigner, someone who doesn't know how this world works. Someone who was about to lose his life for the King's amusement. Everyone wanted to help him, and stand with him but living wins in this list of priorities, and rightfully so.

But just as you find signs of life emerging from the creeks of the harshest grounds, swirling and swaying greens, against all odds it still stands, you will always find people with courage who just need a push to take a stand. That foreigner was the push that was needed. The king of the Second House, Mashiro Bakugou, though merely 17 at that time, came forward and stood with the foreigner.

The Bakugous were a well-known name in the kingdom. They were one of the second houses after the Cruel King. Being the second house means you take care of the left-over mess from the first. It meant you see all the horrors that the Mad King would bring to life. It meant you heard the wailing, crying, and begging of people of your kingdom but being unable to save them, to give them comfort.

The only mistake the Mad King made was to underestimate the power of pain. There is only so much a man can take, so at the young age of 17, the crowned prince decided it was enough. His people had suffered enough. He stood, and he stood tall with the foreigner against the Cruel All for One.

It is funny to see how people would come together for someone stronger. The Bakugou's, even though they were against their son's decision, backed him up with all their resources. So did the other two houses. That battle, it is said, was one of the worst humankind had seen. Dead bodies were being dug for days after the battle was over. But what was important to all was that the battle was over. Humanity won.

A lot of changes were made after the battle. The Bakugous took over the position of First House. The Palace would hold the position politically and so would the other two second houses. But they will let the economy grow and thrive the way the people of the kingdom would want. They deserved that much.

A lot of changes were made. The Palace and any houses for that matter will only collect minimum tax from the public and all of it will be used for the public. The houses will have to run their own business for their earnings just like everyone else. The public is to remain unharmed.

A lot of changes were made for the sake of the public and the kings and queens. The kings and queens were always in the public eye and that's how it had always been. But it meant they could never have a normal life. Being in the public eye stripped them of their privacy. More importantly, as they were royals, they led a very different life. They could never fully understand what problems the general public faces in everyday lives. So, changes were made.

The crowned prince and princess were not to come into the public eye before they were due. The Palace and Houses were to introduce them to the world only on their 21st birthday, the day they were crowned. The day they were bound to the throne. The day they took over the responsibilities of the kingdom.

And the new world began its course.

It's been thirty years since. The world works the way it was imagined. The kingdom has thrived. Modernization, industrialization, and social, political, and economic changes are all that have brought us to this day. Between all these changes, one thing that hasn't changed is the respect general people hold for the Palace. This had been the most successful era of the time, so why wouldn't they?

Another aspect that never changed was the prince and princess living normal lives.  They attended schools and colleges like everyone else. Though, they had to take an official alias so they are not recognized. They would change their last names to mix well.

This was the new world he was born in, in the Palace, the next crowned prince Katsuki Bakugou.
