Aether POV:

"I'm in the right-most room!" Gorou called, rushing through the dorm room door to an area that resembled a living room. It had a large light blue sofa with a fuzzy turquoise rug with a work desk to the left side of the room. Facing the sofa was a large screen TV, and to the back of the room was a neat kitchen with oak cabinets and marble tables.

Gorou went down the hallway on the right which had three rooms and went straight to the one on the right, dragging his large duffel bag inside. "I'll be unpacking," he notified Thoma and Aether before rushing inside his door, his tail wagging. Aether noticed that the door had a small dog symbol etched on it.

Thoma chuckled. "Well, I'd better teach you how to design your dorm room, then."

"You mean, bring in a ton of furniture?" Aether asked quizzically, sliding his suitcase next to him.

"Oh, no, Teyvat High has a software on our computers called Divine Ingenuity," Thoma explained with a knowing grin. "Here, your computer should be in your room." Both of them walked to the door past Gorou's with a small star-shaped symbol embedded on the door.

Thoma opened the door, gesturing for Aether to go in dramatically with a wave of his hand before following inside. The room was completely blank other than a simple wooden table with a sleek silver laptop on top set with a dark gray mouse and mousepad.

"Here, make a password," Thoma instructed as Aether quickly placed his suitcase next to the table and flipped open the laptop. Aether thought for a second before typing in a password, opening the typical computer home screen.

"Double click that domain-building symbol that says Divine Ingenuity underneath it," Thoma continued, peering over his shoulder and pointing to the screen. Aether diligently followed his instructions.

"Okay, so you see this menu on the bottom? You can go to the different tabs, furniture, decor, and tech. Go to the furniture tab and drag a work desk to the top right corner of the room." Aether did so, and suddenly, the exact work desk appeared in the top right corner of the room.

"Whoa!" Aether exclaimed, jumping back. "That's awesome!"

"It is," Thoma replied with a toothy grin. "I've always wondered how they programmed it, but Gorou's not willing to tell me until I get to advanced tech. I'm only in beginner right now."

"But aren't you older than him?" Aether asked jokingly, clicking a circle that was the exact same color as the work desk and selecting a lighter shade, making the table shift into the new color.

"He took tech starting in fifth grade, so he got way ahead of me. I only started as a freshman," Thoma admitted. "Oh, you figured out the color wheel. Nice job!"

"You can go unpack now. I think I've got the hang of this," Aether told him, and Thoma gratefully left with his bright red suitcase in hand.

This program is really interesting... he thought.

Aether selected a white bed with star designs on the blankets and placed it in the top left corner of the room, and moved the laptop to the new work desk before deleting the original table. Then he added a dark oak nightstand next to his bed with a baby blue lamp on top that had a dim glow. He changed the floor to a fuzzy tawny-brown rug and put two bookshelves next to the work desk that were surprisingly filled with fantasy and nonfiction novels. Lastly, he placed a wardrobe to put his clothes in in the bottom left corner of the room.

He lugged his suitcase onto his bed and started to unload his clothes that were neatly folded, either hanging them on hangers that had magically spawned with his wardrobe or putting them in the drawer part of the wardrobe, only taking him about five minutes to organize it.
