A/N Context of the chapter title: It's not a crush on a ley line XD, but SOMEONE may have been interrupted-

Also perhaps I have decided ships might be added soon-ish 🙂

Lumine PoV:

"Lumine!" Amber exclaimed, banging her head against her desk. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Lumine shrugged, inspecting the paper handout. "I don't know, Tighnari gave out that assignment! I could care less about forest spirit Aranara."

"Didn't you finish it?"

"No?"

"LUMI!" Amber sighed, facepalming. "I'll go ask Kokomi for help," she relented with a pained expression.

"Great idea," Lumine agreed, snapping her fingers. "And if Kokomi knows, count me in! I don't want my grade to drop yet."

"Yet?" Amber echoed, raising an eyebrow suspiciously at her. Lumine smiled nervously, and Amber rolled her eyes, wincing slightly as she stood up from her seat and barged into Kokomi's dorm demanding help on the Aranara question worksheet.

Amber had mostly recovered, though a few movements were still painful for her. In the meanwhile, Lumine had managed to procrastinate four assignments, those being the Aranara biology questionnaire, two regional history note sections, and her book report for language arts. All of which were due the next day, also known as the terrifying Monday.

Albedo and Kazuha had been very kind and had assisted with her algebra homework, but other than that, she hadn't got anything done.

And like the mean brother he was, Aether refused to let her copy his work.

Lumine scowled, taking her book report out of her backpack that now looked like a crinkled mess, as she had shoved it in and had accidentally crushed it under her binder.

Her handwriting was quite convoluted, but semi-readable as she speedran the book report (she also had to skim through the first twenty pages of the story) in a clean twenty minutes.

She then finished whatever questions she could remember from the Aranara lecture from Tighnari as Amber came back and parroted what Kokomi had told her so she could answer the last few questions with peace of mind.

Lumine stared at her history notebook. No way she was going to spend her weekend doing notes.

She spent a solid half an hour laying on her bed like a starfish debating whether to just sleep, go visit Aether's dorm and bug him, or actually do the assignment, time in which she could have already finished the notes.

Lumine begrudgingly checked the time. 5:30 P.M. Dinner was at 6:00. She let herself stay on the bed for the next half an hour before leaping up full of energy and practically racing down the dorm building hallway and zooming to the cafeteria.

She caught a glimpse of Itto and Heizou talking about something in the corner of the cafeteria, and Heizou had quite the red face again, though Lumine couldn't tell if it was because he was flustered and embarrassed or angry. Maybe Itto had done something dumb and had messed with the school's 'renowned detective'.

Then again... Aether had told her about Heizou abruptly leaving their highschool buddy group meeting the day before. Lumine couldn't help but wiggle her eyebrows to herself. Perhaps Heizou had a lil' crush on someone.

Lumine got Tonkotsu Ramen and seated herself next to Aether and Ayaka, easily sliding into the conversation. "You chose Paimon for the AI's name?" she squealed, clapping her hands excitedly.

"Yep," Gorou nodded, side-eyeing Yoimiya. "Thanks to Yoimiya."

"It's such an adorable name," Yoimiya cooed, slurping up ramen noodles. "Perfect name."
