I stepped out of the boat and onto the private dock of the Onyx estate. I followed them into her mansion. I was seated by the fireplace with the others doing so as well. "Now, why am I really here?" I asked knowing that there must be some reason since I wasn't bothering anyone. Catherine stepped forward.

"You've been an outcast for long enough, it's time to rejoin humanity," she said causing me to turn my head toward the flames.

"Humanity... I've never known humanity, my first glimpse of it was the look of pleasure everyone had when I was being tortured in my cage. Once I escaped I wanted nothing else than to hide silently for the rest of my days... after that, I unknowingly became the torturer and a monster, that is what humanity got me!" I shouted tossing the chair aside and activating my semblance.

"Thank you for taking in my animals, but I'm going back into hiding," I said walking through the wall, the truth is I had my semblance wrong all along. I wasn't just turning invisible, I was entering a place between dimensions, one in which this place never existed. I don't need them to help me remember who I used to be. I know who I was, am, and most importantly, who I want to be. I glanced back expecting them to follow, but they didn't move out of that room.

After getting out of her property I traveled the roads. Yet, as I walked I could feel a sensation in my hand. I looked over and saw a hallucination of Weiss. She looked happy, untainted by what I had brought upon her. "It's finally time for Y/n to live while the Phantom and the Devil's Child die for good," she said with tears falling down her face. "Be free, leave your prison and your solitude behind you, become something far greater... leave me behind," she demanded before fading away.

I reached out at first before closing my eyes and taking a deep breath in and out, letting go of her completely. I refocused myself on the journey ahead. Walking a few miles before seeing a car. "Hey, need a ride?" The driver asked seeing me on the side of the road. I looked around before accepting. "Where are you heading?"

"Atlas, I have something that I need to make right," I told him, he gave a nod and started driving. In the seat next to me I saw Jaune.

"It wasn't your fault man, you were getting on the right path," he said putting his arm around my neck.

"That doesn't change the fact I'm still sorry that you got hurt because of her, who got hurt because of me," I told him for the first time since he died. "I know you wanted to kill me for a second there too, remove me from your way, but you changed your mind didn't you? That proves that you can be good like I was," Jaune said before disappearing as well.

"Are you okay?" The driver asked concerned with me talking to myself.

"Yeah, just rehearsing what I'm going to say is all," I responded. I stayed silent for the rest of the ride.

Four Hours Later...

I arrived at the Schnee estate and rang their gate. "Who is it?" A woman's voice came through.

"A friend of Weiss, I know that she wasn't a bad person," I said and with that, the gate opened. I walked up to their door and entered finding the family by in the dining room.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt, but I wanted to say this in person."

"She was such a bright person until Raoul came back into the picture, I hope that bastard is rotting for what he did to my girl," Jacques said.

"Did she..." I couldn't bring myself to say it. I caused her to destroy everything she was, I don't want to be responsible for this too.

"What? No, he died from natural causes," Winter said from across the table. I took a breath of relief.

"Oh thank goodness," I said feeling that weight lift off of me.

"Anyways, I just wanted to say that she doesn't deserve to be hated for what she became, instead she deserves to be remembered for who she was, a fair and beautiful angel of music," I said before excusing myself and exiting their home.

"Wait!" Jacques shouted in surprise as she realized that's how she described herself before she became the Phantom. However, by the time he got outside, I was already gone. I'm onto my next destination, the team told me where she lives.

I followed their directions until standing in front of her house. I knocked on the door and saw Pyrrha, obviously unhappy. There was no one else that could look past her fame besides Jaune. "Yeah? Let me guess, you want an autograph," she asked not knowing the real reason for my arrival. I gave a sigh before pulling out my guitar.

"No, I came to make things right, and while I can't change what I've done... I can at least apologize," I said before strumming my guitar.

Once finished I bowed and prepared to take my leave. "Y/n?" she asked recognizing my voice. I slowly turned and saw tears in her eyes. She ran over and embraced me in her arms. I was stunned by this action. After a few seconds, I wrapped my arms around her too.

"I love you Y/n," she said confusing me. "I always have," she continued. I thought back to my time in Beacon. The first couple of weeks she'd glance my way but my attention was on Ruby, who'd made a good first impression on me. I guess I just thought Pyrrha was trying to be friendly.

"Pyrrha, I... I'm sorry, I didn't know," I whispered before hugging her tighter. "And yet," I said pulling away from her. "I feel the exact same way, it took me a while to realize it, but you were the first person to treat me like a human being from the start," I told her brushing a bit of hair from her face.

"I needed to heal myself to see that, but I'm not letting this pattern continue any longer, Pyrrha, would you be my girlfriend?" I asked causing her to chuckle.

"You don't have much practice with this do you?" she asked now smiling at me.

"That obvious huh? Actually this the longest conversation I've had with anyone in five years, I've been tending to animals after all," I admitted.

Seven Months Later...

So, we started dating and I eventually became just as famous for my music. I woke up to a knock at our door and found Salem standing outside. "Hey, so I came to tell you that your mother asked me to place the curse on you and well, it finally broke," she said before leaving upon sensing that I was aggravated by that information. Though Salem looks human, not surprising since CYBR survived their journey to stop her.

Pyrrha and the others showed me the good side of humanity and restored me. Anyway, after this interruption I got ready for my show and left home. I got in front of the large crowds and dimmed the lights. I began playing my acoustic guitar.

As the song played, I remembered everything and everyone that led me to this moment. Weiss, Raoul, Jaune and Ozpin. As the years went by, Pyrrha and I got married and had kids. And like everything else, we got old but retained our love for each other, I looked into her eyes as my heart finally took its last beat, my last sight being the one that I truly loved.

So now in my death, I ask what is life but a rose?
A rose is life, as it radiates so intensely.
So vast, so animated.

When it withers and dies who grieves for it?
The people around it, who now understand.
That life is like a rose.
