Breakfast went by smoothly. Miles and I teased each other the entire time, I actually ate really well and he stayed in his office the entire time.

We made eye contact a couple times, but every time he would immediately look away. I wonder if he genuinely meant what he said. He was obviously drunk, so was he drunkenly telling the truth and now he regrets it, or was he just too drunk to think straight?

That has been all that has been going through my head all morning. As soon as I'm about to ask Miles if he could take me home, his mother comes over to me. I'm helping clean up the table while Miles just sits on his phone.

"That was an amazing breakfast, Mrs.Dilaurentis. Probably the best I've ever had if I'm honest" I compliment.

I hear Miles scoff as if I was lying, "Oh thank you dear. And please, call me Abby."

I nod, picking up all the silverware while Abby picks up the plates.

"So, I know we just met and you're probably freshly with my son, but I still wanted to ask." Abby starts.

Miles looks up from his phone and at me confusedly.

I shrug, "My husband is throwing a little event for the town in 3 days, and I was wondering if you wanted to come under invitation. We invited basically everyone and I wanted to ask if you'd like an invitation before we close that window."

I freeze, so does Miles. "There's an event? Why didn't I know about this?" He asks.

"Well I've only said it a thousand times, Miles. You just don't know how to pay attention." She says, shaking her head.

I want to turn her down lightly, because I've actually made a friend in her. But even if I wanted to go, I'd be attending an event he's hosting. And I'd have to go with Miles.

"I would love to, it's just I don't have anything to wear and I'm not really prepared for fancy events like that" I make up an excuse.

"Oh don't worry about that. I still have a ton of my dresses from when I was your age and I can do your makeup if you'd like. You'll look amazing" she says excitedly.

I look over at Miles who's already looking at me. He widens his eyes at me, telling me to turn her down, but I can't think of anything else so I just shrug back at him.

"Uh, that's sweet of you to offer, but I don't think I'm really event attire" I try and lie. I suck at making up excuses on the spot.

"Oh darling, you'll look amazing I promise. I'll have you printed an invitation" she insists.

I sigh lightly, "Do you think I could get an extra invitation? I might have a friend who will want to come."

If I can get Lexi to come with me, it'll make everything about 100 times easier.

"Oh of course! Make sure you both bring them back so they let you in" she smiles, finishing up the last of the cleaning.

Miles throws his head back dramatically, groaning.

I roll my eyes at him. Looks like we are going to be seeing a lot more of each other than we thought.

I hold the phone up to my ear, ringing Angela for the hundredth time. She hasn't spoken to me since Belle told her that I pretended to be her boyfriend.

When the ringing ends and I hear an annoyed 'what do you want' come from the other line, I answer immediately.

"Angela. I've called you and texted a million times."

"I've seen. What do you want?" She says. "I wanted to explain myself. I only pretended to be her boyfriend because there was a guy following her around trying to force himself onto her and she obviously needed help. You can't be mad at me for that."
