Chapter three : May the odds be ever in our favour
After the little meeting they had , the three friends excuse themselves planning on catching up for lost time , Harry on the other hand was at the balcony staring at the wide acres of land , seeing his father's guilt ridden face as he cried in the arms of his bestfriend who was Harry's godfather he tried to stay strong , tried to keep in his tears
As he stared at the view , a cough was heard from behind him , Harry turned to see who it was , it was his father , he smiled
" How it'd go dad ?." Harry asked as his father walked towards him and prompt his hands on the terrace
" It went fine , great even , do you Sirius is yo-."
" Godfather I know dad , adhara told me ."
James smiled at the mention of his brother , it felt great to be able to seem him again
" Adhara she's a great kid ."
Harry chuckled and nodded
" Yeah she is , talented to , very great at wandless and non-verbal spells ." Harry smiled to himself , he may or may not have a tiny crush on the girl ,I mean who couldn't She's smart that her knowledge surpass any Ravenclaw , very helpful to those in need , amazingly good at quidditch , and incredibly stunning , but alas her heart belongs to someone else and his fine with that , as long as she's happy
As Harry zoned out , James notice the way his sons face morph , how the tiniest smile appeared when talking about adhara , he knew what that smile meant , he chuckled , also snapping Harry out of his daydreaming , his son blushed and rub the back of his neck
" Sorry dad I zoned out ."
" It's fine bud , oh and Sirius said to meet him in the library ."
" Oh really , why ?."
James internally facepalm at his son's answer
This is why his not in Ravenclaw
" Well seeing as your his godchild and him being your godfather , he wasn't to spend time with you , go on his waiting ." He ushered his son towards the door as Harry sweatdropped
" What if he doesn't like ."
James facepalm again
" Which is why you should get to know each other , he loves you Harry , he used to kidnapped you when you were younger ."
Harry deadpanned at his fathers words
" That's doesn't even make sense dad."
" The point is he misses his godchild and I'm sure you do too , go on ." As he pushed his son , which doesn't help with his want/need to shift in his animagus form and pushed him with his antlers , which he really tempted to do at the moment , Harry reluctantly agreed and walk out
As for adhara , Tom took it upon himself to brighten his beloved mood with a little picnic outside the manor , just like old times and picnic dates or picnic and adhara absolutely adore picnic
Like usual he laid the blanket and place the basket filled with sweets and desserts prepared by kreacher and finally put down the few books adhara like to hear Tom read , as they laid down , adhara layed her head on his chest as he stroked her hair , before sighing in content
As they chatted about mindless things seemingly get lost in eachother's eyes , a few stolen kisses her and there , as Tom feeds adhara her usual strawberry shortcake , as she reads one of the books they brought
Making her cheeks look soo cute and squishy , Tom was having an internal battle with himself , being a simp that he is , contemplated wether to squish her cheeks or nah
Adhara who seemed to notice his stare and quirked her eyebrows
" What do I have something in my face ?." She asked , Tom shooked his head and tucked a stray hair on her face
" Only beauty ." He replied , making her go red and hide her face on her palms
He chuckled at her reaction , his been showering her with more compliments , spoiling her in every way, showing his love for her , and she deserves every bit of it
She grinned and throw her arms around his shoulders , as he did the same , and sighed in content , everything was peaceful until
" Oi ! Tom stop hogging adhara ."
They both pulled away and glared at the boy , who sheepishly grinned
" She's my girlfriend , so I won't stop hogging her ." Tom playfully narrowed his eyes as they sat down next to them , then Blaise pulled adhara in a hug making her eyes widen
" Oh yeah ! Well she's my bestfriend ." Blaise proud of his , to his surprise earned him slap at the back of his neck , he turned to daphe who the one nearest to him
" Why'd you hit me woman .!"
" You mean OUR bestfriend Blaise ." She said with a serene smile , as if provoking him tos ay anything else whilst Blaise just rubbed the sore spot and sheepishly smiled
Adhara grinned , seeing her family so carefree was like a boost of serotonin , as they continued to argue on who's more of a bestfriend to adhara , which doesn't make any sense in Adhara's case
" While this may be infuriatingly amusing but please stop for the love of all things good , your giving me a migraine ." Theo said as he facepalm , he did find it amusing as the two , Daphe and Blaise , can and will bicker over the simplest things and this was just one of the example
Tom chuckled , as two looked like children being scolded by their mother , as Theo them ramble on the book adhara recommended the other day , they both got lost in there own world , then they came to the topic about choosing Ancient Runes over divination
" I mean who would pick divination anyways , Ancient Runes is more important and a way better subject than reading tea leaves with a teacher who can start a drama club and succeed ." Adhara rolled her eyes at the thought of the said professor , she was one of Dumbledore's puppets , adhara wouldn't be surprised if they'll come up with another dumb prophecy this year
" I agree with you Bella and might I add , her tea might be the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted ." Blaise said as he took one of Adhara's strawberry out of her plate as he reminiscent on the day professor trelawny invited him for a cuppa , it was one the most worst decision he ever made , adhara chuckled at his face , they all did , they know about the time he got invited by trelawny for a cuppa ,its safe to say that when he came back to the common room he began shoving sweets in his mouth to forget the taste of the " dreadful swamp water " he tasted
" And not to mention , dear hagrid has took the Care for Magical Creatures Spot , what a great year it'll be ." Tom sarcastically said , it may seem harsh but the half giant is a solid Dumbledore supporter and will be a liability , they adored the half giant due to his love for magical creatures but they did not love the way he worshipped Dumbledore like some saints ,for he was not one
" May the odds be ever in our favour ." as adhara she took a sip from her tea
