Walking into the large spectacular throne room, we encountered thousands of beautiful ladies and gentlemen dancing in a waltz like circle. Long mahogany tables were piled with delicious foods and treats that could fill the royal court for days on end.
We walked in with our arms still entangled. But, Mordred seemed a bit off.

I looked at his astonished face and asked, "What? What is it?"

I looked at the direction of his gaze and ended up at the pretty lady knight he was with earlier. She had beautiful, wavy, dark hair and skin fair as clear sky. She wore a long blood red dress that fit her perfectly.

I gave a little giggle and smirked at him. His eyes never left her.

Merlin tapped on my shoulder and I turned to face him. His storm blue eyes rolled annoyed gesturing in Arthur's direction.
He was being called by the king to serve the guests. I smiled and nodded letting him go.

I then grabbed Mordred's hand and whispered, "So, what do you people do at these?"

His stare broke and he looked down at me. Mischievous thoughts played with his features.

"Everything!" he exclaimed. He pulled me along and playfully danced to one of the tables. Him whirling my dress as we took bouncing steps to the drinks. We laughed and talked and drank.

He tapped my nose showing a smug face. "So, you and Merlin hm?" his back leaned against the table.

I flushed and covered my giggling lips with the chalice I held. I exaggerated, "Yes?"

He laughed more and took my drink and sipped from it. I nudged his side and asked, "What about the lady knight?" pointing at her sitting next to the king.

"Yeah, she's...she's so different" Mordred went on. "So strong, and so brave"

I smiled at his dreamy thoughts. He looked back at me and tapped my nose again.

"You're so silly"

I rubbed my nose and put my hand on his back. I saw the maiden get out of her seat and smirked. "Go to her!" I pushed him slightly. He turned and tapped the bottom of my chin and smiled and stumbled a bit making his way over.

I stood alone by the refreshments. I watched as he sneakily put his hands around the lady's eyes. That cunning scoundrel.

My eyes wandered the scene to find people starting to form a royal dance circle. Suddenly, a handsome servant boy appeared out of the crowd, taking my hand.
"Care to dance?" he smiled. I laughed and nodded slightly. He took me onto the the glassy floor.
I haven't danced since I could remember. He seemed as awkward as I was, but guided me with semi-grace. He held my hand up and placed his other on the waist of my bodice. He gave me a nervous smile and started to make me whirl. I giggled and spun away and back into his embrace. In the blur of the twirl I could see his lovely smile which got me all blushing. The small group of musicians played the most beautiful of melodies. The notes seemed to lift me and Merlin off our feet. It was magical. From time to time we whispered sweet nothings of compliments about dancing skills and laughter about the royal court watching us. At the last resounding note of the song, we bowed to each other with my hands daintily at my sides. Clapping hands applauded the dancers and cheers filled the ballroom.

But, a sudden, agonizing, out of place screech yelped from a non distinct location, killed the atmosphere.
Right after the sudden scream, groups of shady men and women with a sense of death in all their eyes revealed themselves scattered throughout the crowd. Gasps and squeals could be heard all around as the intruders started closing us all in with intimidating looks and movements. All started running around the room trying to escape or hide.I could spot many royals being threatened with weapons and people being shoved to the ground by the tyrants. Everything was happening so fast.
Chaos broke out and screaming panic bounced off the walls. Perplexed and scared, I looked to my side to grab Merlin's hand. But I seemed to have lost him in the sea of bursting turbulent beings. Panic began to take over as the more and more I looked around, terrified royals and servants alike were at the mercy of the barbarians. The warning bell went off and added to the horrid sounds of dangerous throne room.
I stood still watching around me and had many push into me trying to flee.
A loud booming voice came from the entrance. The large doors swung open with the slam of magic sparks bursting off it.
"WHO'S IN THE MOOD FOR MAGIC MASSACRE?" The evil leader shouted strolling in. Many more warriors following her steps. She smirked and threw her arm to point and wiggled her finger.

"I think you are, dear brother" she taunted. It was the lady Morgana. Her dark hair messy as ever, and her dark ragged dress brushed the royal ground of the castle. The king and some knights stood firm at the far end of the room by the grand table.

"Stop this, Morgana" Arthur commanded.

She laughed the most evil laugh.
"Oh no, not until that throne is mine"

She looked side to side, signaling her servants to charge.
"And you," she opened her hand with her eyes flashing bright gold, "Are going to give it to me!"

And with that, King Arthur went flying above the crowd and crashed at the feet of Morgana. Knights immediately charged to save their ruler, but her army kept them at bay, having a whole section of the room clear with just him and her. Shouts of failed attempts getting to their king blended with the screams of the court.
A dark tall man tossed Morgana a shining sword radiating magic while Arthur stumbled up from the fall and drew his mortal blade. Their metal clashed and slashed as they fought for the power of the kingdom.
Complete war was being held in the ballroom.
I shouted Merlin's name countless times, but I couldn't find him anywhere.
Soon enough, I was in the hands of a murderous Saxon.
He took me violently by the sleeve, basically ripping it, and held me up with my feet a few inches of the ground.
"All you Camelot royals will pay" he sneered taking out a dagger. I winced with my eyebrows furrowed.

"Emrys!!!" I screamed from the very top of my lungs, almost louder than the turmoil of the guests.

I frantically searched the scene and finally found his stormy blue eyes. He had the expression of the most deep worry. His stare bore into me while confusion set. Tears started to fall and my eyebrows knitted more as I realized he wasn't trying to get to me. He was just watching me in distress. Merlin's face turned from me, to the battle between the Pendragons and back to me in a pattern. He was debating. Save my life, or the life of the king.
I blinked my eyes slowly in acceptance. Salt water soaked my face and I gazed upon the ballroom. I could feel the blade getting closer and closer to my chest.

A great sound of clashing metal plunged the room in silence. The scene held two brave Camelot knights with their swords glowing and pointed at the evil lady Morgana. The weak king at her side, eyes met with the tip of a blade.
The two warriors lunged forward. And in the heat of the moment, Arthur regained enough strength to disarm the witch of the sword leaving her defenseless. Seconds before the knight's blades were to end her, thick black smoke whirled vigorously from where she stood as she screamed, "Bendryn ús! Astyre ús ßanoweard!".
Once cleared she was gone from existence.
After Morgana's exit was known, the few moments that followed brought a forceful storm of black magic, blinding all that was in the throne room. The invaders that assisted Morgana, disappeared once the smoke cleared. I fell back to the slick floor with my captor gone, and landed on my knees. I placed my hands on my face wiping the apparent tears and hints of blood. I laid on the fabric of my widespread dress and cried more in trauma. All the guests were giving scared and quiet murmurs about what just happened.

Applause bounded and cheers suddenly took place as the two knights, Mordred and Lady Quinn, helped King Arthur up to face the court. Everyone stood clapping while I laid still. I felt the sudden rush as a young man slid his way to me and sat on his knees. He took my head and put it on them and I fluttered my eyes to look up. Merlin's stormy blue eyes had roaring oceans in them. His tears started falling as his cradled me in his arms.

"I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry" he sputtered under his breathe.

"I should have rescued you. Y-You were in danger and I just watched. I don't know what kept me from making sure that you were okay. I'm so sorry for putting you that close to death. I-I-I never want to see you that scared ever again" he cried.

I smiled a sad smile and placed my hand on the side of his cheek. I then placed it down on my stomach but flinched feeling a strange touch. I looked at my hand to be shocked by the dripping of red and widened my eyes looking at Merlin. His face tensed up and his expression was the last thing I saw before black consumed my vision.
