Bella's POV
"You should have seen dad's expression when I got back to our vacation house." Gio said and we laughed.
"Anyway, Gio, I need to go, Alex and I are having a movie night tonight." I said.
"Owww, would Mr. Dense be there?" These guys and their nicknames for Luxe.
"No, he's out for a business trip." I said.
"Well have fun." He said and I nodded.
After that day, dad tried to contact me once. I'm sure Adele snitched on me being here. But hasn't been able to get a hold of me.
As if I'll let him.
I drove towards Alex's appartment as I blasted the radio. My feelings for Luxe weren't diminishing by any means, so it was hard for me to face him, sometimes.
Sometimes?
Yea, sometimes.
Sure.
So thankfully he wasn't home.
I opened the doors to their penthouse and called out for Alex.
No answer.
Weird.
I made my way to the kitchen where there was a note for me:
Sorry Bella, work called last minute. We're still having our night, but I'll be a bit late
Make yourself at home, you always do. And don't you dare start without me. I'll have your brain if you do.
I chuckled at the note. But it was weird. He could have just called me, if that were the case. I would have come a bit later. It wasn't a big deal.
"Bella?"
I turned around at the familiar voice, that made me shiver.
"It is you! What are you doing here?"
"Aren't you supposed to be away for a business trip?"
"I returned home this morning. But you didn't answer my question."
"Oh, Alex and I were supposed to have a movie night tonight, but apparently he got some last moment work to tend to, so...." I dragged the last part.
"Why don't you hang out with me while you wait for him?" He asked and my stomach churned.
"Sure." Thankfully my voice came out steady.
