Mia

She and her mate were up early to join the crowd of pack members at the castle's landing. The mated couples conversed with the unmated ones about to leave, giving last minute advised on how to secure their destinies.

The queen had done her part earlier, her paw on one of her cousins to impart an important command. Knew it would be carried out at all costs.

"Please check Toni for me, cuz? I am worried about her." She was at the foyer, bidding the Alphas goodbye. And currently, she was speaking to Logan East.

Face inscrutable, he grunted in response, always aloof, before sighing in resignation. "I will check on your human best friend when I have the time."

Her dark eyes narrowed. "Do. I want her here soon. Who knows? She might be mated to one of the warriors." Now, that would be perfect. She was already anticipating Antonia's visit.

"God forbid," East mumbled, scowling.

"You are so rude, cuz." She chided. Not liking what she heard. "I hope that when you find your mate, she will lead you to a merry dance, will make you fall at your feet and bring you to your knees. And you will have a hard time claiming her because you will be eating her dust." Her tirade was heard by everyone and the unmated males started to back away. Not wanting to be on her radar.

"Goddess, MJ. I was just joking." Aghast, pale, eyes wide, Logan held his palms up in surrender. His beta chuckled.

"I will keep him in line, Your Majesty." East's second assured her.

"Good. Make sure you do. He will need all the luck. Off you go." She leaned to kiss each Alphas on their lean cheek. Her mate growled but he remained observant of the scene. "May the Moon Goddess bless you with the other half of your soul. The sooner the better."

Solemnly, the leaders nodded, grateful for their queen's blessings. Though still reeling from her words earlier.

"Alpha West, take extra care." She added. He saluted her before bidding her goodbye.

Mia sighed, wistful, she went back to her mate's warm embrace. She hoped her words would come to fruition and save this realm.

Falling into a blissful routine, no attacks from enemies since the last one, made her relax. Though it was only a token promise of peace, she would take it. Dahlia and her sisters, the powerful witches were her constant companions and she was learning a lot from those three.

Constantine and the Alphas were still frequently in a war meeting, using the technology to their advantage. Strategizing their defense was their priority. They were still greatly outnumbered, though their strength made up for it. And of course, the news of the powerful lycan king's return to his kingdom gave the vampire lords paused.

Warriors kept patrolling, not letting down their guards. Even doubled the security around the kingdom.

"We are meeting someone special today, min dronning." The king murmured while they walked hand in hand through his forests. "At last, my call was answered after a century of silence."

"By who?" She wrapped her hand on his biceps, matching his pace. Feeling energetic these past few days. Despite her mate's efforts to continuously ravished her at night, she felt refreshed every morning.

"You will see. Come, she is waiting for us." Since she was not allowed to shift, he carried her while he run to their special place.

Laughing, she wrapped her arms around his neck. His excitement was contagious.

When they entered the cabin, Mia gasped.

There at the center was Selene, the Moon Goddess. She was wearing a crown made of moonstones and the whitest of moonflowers, her lightest of long blond hair cascaded beautifully down the wooden floor. Her gown like the purest of water swayed as she moved to greet them. Her bright light encompassed the entirety of the room.
