Jane and Nicole hiked up the last little bit of the tall hill.

"Why," Nicole panted under the weight of Janes equipment, "does Norway have so many hills?"

"Shh! Jane exclaimed, "We're here!" Hand me the Quantum Magnifier?"

"Which one is that?"

Jane sighed, turning around and grabbing one of the devices, "This one." Jane held the device out in front of her, as it started to go haywire, "I haven't seen reading like this since..."

Suddenly there was a large blast. Jane and Nicole flew backwards. When they sat up, they saw someone dressed in all green staring out at the ocean. His long black hair fluttered as the salty sea breeze blew through it. He slowly turned around, looking at his hands in disbelief and then placing them across his chest as if he were trying to make sure he was real.

Jane almost gasped, "Loki?"

Nicole looked at her in surprise, "Wait like Loki, Loki? Like New York Loki? Like scepter Loki? Like Prince of Asgard Loki? Like the second son of Odin Loki? Like god of Mischief Loki? Like your exs brother Loki?"

Jane glared at her friend, "Yes, that Loki."

"Jane?" Loki asked, "Where am I?"

"Norway," Nicole responded for her, "Wait, aren't you supposed to be dead? I mean no one has heard from you in like six years."

"It's been six years?" Loki ran a hand across his mouth, "well did we win, I mean did we beat Thanos?"

"Well..." Nicole started to speak, but Jane interrupted.

"What are you doing here?" she asked.

"I don't know," Loki thought for a moment, "I need to find Thor."

"Well, you should talk to the people in New Asgard," Nicole said matter-of-factly.

"New Asgard?" Loki questioned.

"Yeah, we can show you."

"No, we can't!" Jane interjected, "We have work to do."

Nicole put all the equipment on the ground, "Correction, you have work to do," she told Jane. Then she turned to Loki, "I can show you. It's not far from here."

Nicole and Loki started to make their way down the large hill. They walked for nearly twenty minutes in silence. Nicole tried to break said silence by asking,

"So, Loki, where've you been for the past six years?"

"That's just it, to me its only been a few hours."

"Are you sure you didn't just step through a wardrobe?" Nicole laughed at her own joke, but Loki was less amused.

"Do you always talk this much?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didnt mean to. Sometimes I just talk and I don't even know that I'm doing it. I can stop if you like."

"How much farther is the new Asgard?"

"A few more miles."

The rest of the walk was completely silent aside from the sound of their feet on the ground. When they reached New Asgard, they searched for King Valkyrie. When they finally found her it took some time to convince her that it really was Loki and not some trick. A taser may or may not have been threatened at one point. But once she was sure that this Loki was not dead, she told him that Thor was off-world with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

"Who?" Loki asked, "they cannot be real, you made that up. Where is he really?"

"No they're real," Nicole told him, "You've missed a lot in the past six years."

"Clearly. Is there any way to contact him?" Loki asked.

"Not that I know of," Valkyrie replied, "But he usually comes back every few months to check up on Earth. He's due back any day now."

At that moment a ship came down from the atmosphere and landed not too far away. The hatch opened and Thor walked out talking with a racoon.

"I don't see what the problem is," the racoon was saying, "It's not like he needed the hand anyway."

Valkyrie went out to meet Thor. She whispered something to him causing him to have a confused look on his face. When he looked over towards Loki, his expression was flooded with disbelief. Thor slowly walked toward Loki with Valkyrie and the racoon following.

When Thor reached Loki, his eyes held such a wide mix of emotions that it was hard to tell what each could be. "Loki?" he said in almost a whisper.

"Surprise!" Loki said with sarcastic jazz hands.

Thor picked up a small stone and chucked it at Loki, who caught it saying, "It's really me, Brother."

"How are you here?"

"The better and more important question is how did you get so fat?"

"Do not play games with me, Loki!"

"Perhaps we could take this conversation elsewhere."
