George and Ringo raced each other to the bowling alley. They were surprised it was still open. Ringo paid for bowling shoes and an alley.

"So," George put in his oversized shoes, "tell me more about yourself."

Ringo picked up a bowling ball, "Me and mum just moved here because the doctor said it's good for us. Me stepdad had to stay in Blackpool for work."

"Aw, your mum sick?"

"Nah, it's me." He rolled the ball and scoffed when he didn't get any cones, "I have a real bad immune system. God forbid I stand in the rain and I got hella sick!"

George stood up for his turn, "Oh, I'm terribly sorry. Are you sick right now?"

"No, I feel fine!"

They talked more after that, mostly about school. They found out more about each other, George likes to garden and Ringo likes to help at the local soup kitchen.

-

Sunday came and went for George. He was excited to go to school to ask them about the party. He doesn't have a phone at home.

"Paulie! You got a girlfriend?!"

Paul blushed, "Well, she isn't my girlfriend, just a pretty girl..."

"How was the date?" George opened up his locker to put his stuff in.

"It went really well!" Macca played with his fingers, "She looked nice too..."

Harrison couldn't believe how fast this all was. It seemed like only yesterday that him and Paul were little nobodies, and now they were beginning to get popular and his best friend was getting a girl.

"Oh, and John said that we're going to meet after school at the park. He has something he wants to ask us."

Oh boy, things just got faster!

-

Paul walked with George to the park. School just went by so quickly. His stomach was in knots, what could be so important?

Once they were close enough, they saw John childishly swinging on the swings. Next to him was-

UGH not Pete!

Paul glanced at George, who looked just as annoyed as he was. But with forced smiles, they made their way to the duo.

"Hey, you're here!" John exclaimed as they walked in.

Pete turned to them and gave them the dumbest smile ever. Paul wanted to punch him, but instead, he smiled as John wrapped his arm around him and put a lit cigarette in his mouth. He did the same for George too.

"Mates, the reason I wanted you guys here...well..." He turned to Pete, "Petey, you tell them!"

"We're starting a band, and we want you guys to join us!"

George and Paul looked at each other, then squealed and jumped. What a surprise!

We're gonna be famous!

"Of course, we will!" George exclaimed, "I can play guitar and write some music!"

Pete jumped in, "I will be the drummer!"

"I do the same things as George! What about you, Macca?"

"I write and play the trumpet, but I've always wanted to learn guitar!"
