While we were going home, we stopped at a gas station so mom could fill up her car. The station isn't far from the Daycare, but we stopped there because she needed her car's gas tank to be full. While we were there, I asked mom if I can use the restroom, and Marci also had to use it. Mom agreed, and let us go to the restroom. While we were walking toward the building, we found this: a woman with wings weeping. Literally. She was really pretty. But there was something weird about her. Not the wings, not the weird travel outfit or the ears and jewelry, but the way she glowed and was weeping. It sounded unlike anything I've ever heard. It was a misty, soft and kinda high-pitched voice, and it reminded me of something, but I couldn't think of what it was.
"FEEWEE!" Marci shouted. "FEEWEE! FeeWee!"
"Wait. THAT'S what I was thinking of! A fairy! Thank you Marci!" I said, relieved to hear the word I was thinking of. Then, I turned to the fairy and asked her, "Are you OK? What happened?"
"Well, in my world, there's a gemstone. That gemstone is the last one of its kind. You probably don't know what I'm talking about, but I'll tell you the whole story. So, there's a sapphire called the Seraphina Sapphire. It's the last one that Seraphina Saraway, the mortal that ended war in the two tribes: elves and fairies. Seraphina was the bravest warrior of the kind. She put her sapphire in her hand and held it high to stop all the curses being thrown at from both sides. The reason she did this is because sapphires lock all curses inside them and let them go once everything is as peace. Well, she hid her sapphire away, and the elves found that, and soon, the fairies found out, and now we're at war again. Because of that, I decided to evacuate to the realm of mortals, of which you humans call Earth.", the mystical fairy explained.
"Hey, it's okay. I'll try to help save the sapphire and return it to Seraphina. I'm Miriam, by the way. And this is my sister, Marci."
"HEY!" Marci greeted happily.
"I'm Claramond, of the Crystal Guardian house. By the way, I don't think a teenager and a baby could pass the three trials."
"What do you mean?"
"What I mean is that there are three dangerous tasks that require a minumum of five able-bodied people. First is a three-headed dog. What you'll need is a small harp to play to make it sleepy, and so that you can pass it. Next is a holographic battle that will take about 3 minutes to watch. You have to see all of it without flinching. If you do, you're some of the lucky people to pass the second trial. The third and final trial requires you to solve a riddle that most people won't be able to solve. Once you finish that, you'll have to make your way toward Guardian's Tower, where the Seraphina Sapphire is located in. You may not know how I know all this, but I've heard rumors about this." Claramond explained. "Here, take this bag. In it is an invisibility cloak, a hope ring, a sunlight jewel, and a small harp. You'll need them in order to get the sapphire."
"But how would the invisibility cloak and sunlight jewel help us?" I asked. Honestly, I don't really know what's going on, but if it's a challenge, I'm up to it.
"The invisibility cloak will help you slip through the guards that're guarding Guardian's Tower. The sunlight jewel will let the holder see in the dark. You may have to leave someone behind, but it'll be worth it. I promise." Claramond promised. I've always wanted a invisibility cloak, it sounds so cool! "Oh, and before you go, there is something I need to warn you about." Claramond said.
"What is it?" I said worryingly.
"In the dark forest is an army of elves, people screaming to their life long cells. If they are to trust you, you must not cower, for they see weakness, they think to devour." Claramond warned. She disappeared. I'm thinking back to her home.
"It seems like we have to deal with elves, Marci dear." I said.
"We able do dow? Marci said.
"No need to worry, we can do it!" I said. I get it. You're scared, we all are! But sometimes there are going to be things we face that are going to be difficult and unnerving, but there is always going to be a chance that you can do it. Just try, really try, and it can happen, trust me.
