Chapter 9 People are Staring

When me, Lila, and Andy were walking in to the school. Andy and Lila went another way. I was alone. I was coming to place where they had the dance. I walked in and the Dj looked and stopped the music and all the people were staring at me. The people were murmuring who is that? I walked to the bottom of the stairs. I said "Where did the music go?" The Dj played the music with me. I can't believe I said that I am not even popular nor have a date to the dance. Brian walked up to me and said " No date?" I shook my head. Brian sat down with me and said " Page Im really sorry for breaking your heart." I rolled my eyes. I said "Its fine were still friends." Brian smiled at me like he usually did. Brian said "Hey, you want to dance?" I nodded. i thought sure why not were still good friends. I stood up and he did the same. He grabbed my hand and I was holding his hand. The next thing I knew I was dancing with my ex. Me and Brian were dancing a slow song. I thought I should've waited. I thought isn't a slow song supposed to be romantic? I thought why did I decide to dance with Brian. While we were dancing we were talking about the good all days when we dated. I thought will he ask me out again. What will I say would I say yes or no. While we were dancing Brian said "Page will you go out with me again?" I thought and I knew this will happen. I thought. I said "No." I thought i was going to Journalist University and he was going to Jock University we would break up by then.
