Info: This was the date that Bela graciously set up for you (she somehow got Russia to come-) Uhh, just note that there aren't many romantic aspects in this, but ehh, it could work I guess-
Note: This event is canon, it just doesn't affect the storyline(as much-).

"Why did I agree to this again...?" You let out a sign as you conveyed your thoughts out loud. You were currently on your way to a nearby coffee shop to meet Russia, the Russia. It was simply something Belarus, the bubbly one, had settled for the both of you. You still couldn't figure out why did your past self agreed to the date, perhaps it's to strengthen your relationship with the female country? Maybe... but it's not going to help your relationship with your supposed date, at all.
When you arrived at the place, Russia immediately spotted you and waved you over, he was wearing a white sweater, long pants with a fluffy jacket, and the famous Ushanka of his, the one that every single fanfic of him mentioned. You'll be lying if you said he wasn't all that attractive. "Ugh... why are these humanoid countries so attractive?" Muttering quietly under your breath, you approached the said country before sitting down in front of him, unsure of what to say or do.
You watched as the Russian let out a soft sigh before he turned to face you, making eye contact.
"So... let's make this clear for the both of us. We're here because of Bela, and I have no intention of dating you whatsoever, and I'm sure it's the same for you. But, this could still be treated as a simple... hangout, deal?" Even when his tone was gentle and apologetic, his rough Russian accent sounded more threatening than asking. Yet, what he said was true, and you merely nod at his statement. Somehow, you felt a hint of disappointment in you, but you just shrugged it away, sure you had a crush on him because of those arts and fanfics of him back in your world, but he's a real person here, and you still got a long way to go if you wish to romance him, not like you were going to do so, obviously.
While waiting for the waiter, you decided that it was best to say something, and his siblings seemed like the best topic, so you went with it.
"Hey, if I were to be honest, I'm quite jealous of you, you know?" Russia's attention was on you again as his eyes sparkled with curiosity, seeing that he was interested, you decided to continue "Well, your sister, she seems to care about you a lot. And your brothers, they also care about you so much that they attempted to stop her schemes, don't you think so?" Russia was surprised at your claim, but his lips soon curved into a subtle, soft smile.
"Yeah, that's true, they do care about me a lot, and I'm grateful for it. But, why are you jealous about it?" Before you could answer the question, a waiter had already come to your table, so you both had to stop the conversation and order. To your surprise, Russia ordered a strawberry shortcake, 'That's not something the fanfics usually says...' You thought. When the male noticed the surprised and puzzled look on your face, he just chuckled and told you that he picked up the habit of eating sweet desserts from his siblings.
"That kinda explains it" You murmured before shoving it aside.
The date ended up with both of you sharing stories about your siblings while enjoying the desserts and drinks. It was nice that you were on good terms with some of his siblings, because it's probably the main reason why he actually talked to you in the first place. You and he didn't do anything that implies romance that day, but you too actually got closer after that. Russia seemed to enjoy talking to you, to say the least.
But if there's anything you knew, was that you and Russia could certainly be considered as friends after that date.
~~~ At a nearby table ~~~
"Ughhhh, why aren't they kissing yet?!?!" A female country complained as she observed her targets from a nearby table.
"Bela, it's normal, they're not dating..." A winged country sighed as he tried to pull his sister's head back to the cafe's menu.
"Can't really blame her, Kaz. That old guy had been single for so long now, and I want to be an uncle, like, right now." Another country wearing a flower crown grumbled at the pair that's sitting in front of him, clearly annoyed by the slow progress.
"You can stop grumbling, 'Raine. Did you expect that they'll immediately be interested in one another?" A male country wearing a unique scarf smacked the Ukrainian country's head, absolutely displeased at his words, he then turned his head towards his sister, scolding her, "And Bela, we shouldn't spy on them, no matter what, we're expected to be role models for our citizens, you know?"
The female frowned, but her eyes soon sparkled up as her lips formed a visible smirk, the three other countries flinched, knowing their sibling, she was having another stupid plan. Soon, Belarus spoke in a giddy tone, "Hey, I know, if she isn't compatible with Ruski, perhaps Kaz has a better chance! Or Bel! Or even 'Raine! Oh, I'm definitely setting her up with at least one of you! Hehehe~"
"Here we go again..." The Kazakh country said as he sighed in defeat.
