Realization

It's been an hour since Tim left, Lucy is still in shock. She doesn't know how to feel. But she knows that kiss made her feel something, something she's never felt before. She lays in her bed and just replays the kiss In her head over and over. She starts to think about what he's gonna say tomorrow. "This is all my fault" Lucy says to herself. Lucy starts to think about all the wonderful memories Tim and Lucy have together. The double date, the dance and more. She starts to think is Tim thinking about her to? Is he able to sleep?

- the next day-

"Morning Tamara" Lucy says
"Good morning Lucy! Are you gonna talk about what happened yesterday or?" Tamara teases
"Tamara it was for work nothing happened between us" Lucy says
Deep down Lucy knows she is lying to herself
"Really? Or does someone  have a thing for officer zaddy" Tamara teases more
"Really it was nothing." Lucy says
"Mhm" Tamara laughs
"Tamara!" Lucy says
"Sorry sorry have a good day at work" Tamara says
"Bye" Lucy leaves

Tim is on his way to work and all he can think about is what happened the night before. That kiss felt different not like any kiss he's ever had. He starts to think about what he should say to Lucy should he just keep quiet? Should he just pretend as if nothing happened?

- Lucy leaves her car and sees Tim sitting in his truck. She just stands there for a second until he sees her. Lucy gives a little awkward wave.
"Lucy hey!" Tim says
"Hi" Lucy says nervously.

"We should prob-"
I think we should talk ab-"
Lucy and Tim say at the same time
"You go first!" Lucy says
"You sure?"Tim adds
"Yup" Lucy says
"I j- I just wanted to say-" Tim pauses
"We need to  work on are backstory" Tim says
"O-okay" Lucy forces an awkward laugh

20 Minutes later

"Hey are you to ready? You could get the text at any moment" Nyla says
"Yup" Tim says
"Really? You guys haven't practiced being a couple ONCE" Nyla says
"Practice? Why would we need pracite that's ridiculous" Tim asks
"Well you know it might be awkward considering you are pretty close friends so it might be a little weird... unless there's something your not telling me?" Nyla says
"W-what we're not keeping anything from you? I don't know what you talking about" Lucy says nervously
"Mhm, you do remember I'm a detective right?" Nyla adds
"What does that have to do with anything?"Tim asks
"I'm just saying me and Angela have noticed you two getting a little flirty a few times" Nyla says
"Okay hold on! Flirty? And you discuss this with Angela?"Lucy says
"Okay I'm gonna go make sure you two practice" Nyla laughs as she leaves
"That was werid.." Lucy says
"Totally but she was right, I mean not about the whole flirty thing I don't see you anymore than a friend. But she was right about us needing to practice, I mean it might be a little awkward acting as a couple so practice could help" Tim explains
Lucy was hurt about the "I don't see you anymore than a friend" think but she tried not to show it. She kept telling herself she only saw him as a friend but she knew it wasn't true.
"yeah I guess practice could help, but what exactly do we practice?" Lucy says
