"Sophia!" I jumped from my book as my name was shouted from downstairs. I look around for Begley and couldn't find him anywhere.
I climbed down the latter and saw my dad standing at the front door, it standing wide open.
I cocked my right eyebrow; "What's wrong?" I asked, walking towards the situation.
"I let Begley out and he didn't come back." Dad said. i automatically started to panic. He didn't know where anything was, he was in a new place.
"Um, okay. I'll go out and look for him, I'll call you if i find him. Okay? okay." I rambled as I slipped on my old converse, running down the porch stairs.
"Begley!" I yelled around, currently in my backyard, going towards the woods. I looked up an saw all of the tall trees. If I was a bird, I could fly above all of these trees and see Begley easier. I looked down and saw pawprints. I smiled, knowing I stood where he did moments ago. I followed my gut, telling me to go left.
"Begley!" I yelled again, coming to a clear space in the woods, bigger pawprints appeared, much bigger than Begley's. I began to panic again. What if a wolf or something attacked Begley? Did they even have wolves in Ireland.
I was overthinking as I heard a barking noise. "Begley?" I questioned.
I continued to walk when I saw a blonde haired boy on his knee, petting Begley.
"Begley." I said, relieved I had found him. The blonde boy stood up and looked at me.
"I found him." He said, shoving his hands in his pockets. he had a thick Irish accent, and Begley looked up at him as he spoke. I patted my thigh, telling Begley to come here, which he obeyed.
"Thank you." I said, smiling a little. I was just glad to have him back.
"He's special." The boy said. My mind imediatley went back to the other day, when the man in the city told me the pup was special.
"I know." I said, looking down at my puppy. I began to walk away with Begley following behind.
"Wait." I heard from behind me. I stopped and raised my eyebrow.
"Your name?" He asked, walking towards me. His walk was different. His shoulders moved with his hands, side to side. He had a unique swagger to him. It was intriguing.
"I'm Sophia." I said, holding out my hand, for him to shake.
He held out his hand, he had dirt on his palm, as if he had been digging. I looked at it and back up to him.
He realized and wiped it on his darkwash jeans.
"Sorry." He chuckled, sticking his hand back out. I took his hand and moved it, in a shake.
His hand was rough. But he was gentle.
"Niall. I'm Niall." he said. I smiled and released his hand, nodding.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Niall. Thank yolu again, I was really worried." I replied, ready to leave the situation and go home. He nodded, turned and ran off. I stared after him, did he really just run away?
I shrugged it off, walking Begley back home.

"Have you ever wondered how people who have a different demeanor to them, act when they're alone?" I asked my dad. We sat on the couch, watching Animal Planet. He looked at me and smiled.
"I have. In high school, when I first saw your mother." He said. I was more intrigued with this conversation.
"Tell me." I said, getting more comfortable in my chair. he chuckled and cleared his throat.
"She was always a bubbly person. She loved everyone, even if they weren't nice to her. She loved to draw, and loved light rock." He stopped and smiled; "She was beautiful. Every guy wanted to be hers, but she never knew that." he said, swatting at the air, like it was the most obvious thing. "She always had this, light around her. Like she was an angel. When you were born, she was the happiest person in the world. I remember she said 'when she grows up, she's gonna break alot of hearts. I just know it.'" he finished.
"Look how that turned out." I said, raising my arms, giggling. He stood up and kissed my forehead.
"You're still the prettiest girl in my life. I love you." he said, walking away. I smiled and looked at the animal, staring at me.
"Wanna go outside?" i asked, like I was talking to a baby. His ears perked up and I knew that was a diffinite yes. I hopped off the couch and followed Begley to the front door. I opened it, and he darted down the porch. I giggled and followed him.
He did what was needed and just began sniffing around, he looked up towards a tree across the street, and began barking. it was a happy bark, I knew that.
"What Begley?" I asked, walking by him. I figure stepped from behind the tree. I couldn't see anything, until he began walking over to us. I recognized the walk and knew it was the boy from earlier.
"Hello." He said, bending down the pet the puppy. I whispered a small 'hi'.
"Don't think I was stalkin'ya or anythin'." He said, a small smile on his face, I giggled and shook my head.
"Nope. Didn't cross my mind." I laughed and looked down at Begley.
"Nice seeing you again, Niall." I said, as I waalked back up to the house.
"Goodnight Sophia." he said, walking away.
