"Have a good day." My father said, as I was backing out of the driveway.
Last nights events still had me on edge. It was like he wanted me to see him.
I waved as I sped down the road. First day of school always made me nervous, I hated being the center of attention. And since I was new, everyone would be taking their first impressions.
Which is presicely why I decided to dress out today. Not so much as putting on a dress, curling my already wavy hair to perfection, and doing my make-up to follow those celebrities. But since I wanted everyone's first impressions of me, to be me, I decided I would wear what I would normally wear, with a bit of tweaking.
Nice skinny jeans, an owl sweater, sparkly toms and my natural wavy hair with a fishtail braid going around my head. My make-up was light. Eye liner on the bottom and mascara on my already thick eyelashes.
"Hi. Sophia King." I said as the receptionist checked the computer for my records. I tapped my short fingernails on the counter, in impatience.
"I'm printing out your schedule." She said, sending a warm smile my way. Her Irish accent different from Niall's.
I looked out of the window, looking out into the halls of the school. People were staring at me, gossiping. I sucked in a breath, hoping it wasn't anything bad.
"20-17-45," I mumbled, trying to get my locker open. These were never my thing, I would always be here for ages, trying to just get it open to put my books away.
"Need help?" I heard a voice next to me. I looked over and a girl stood there.
She had pretty red hair, like a cherry. Her green eyes were warm and ocean like, she had a round face, she was absolutely astonishing.
"Yeah." I said, stepping away and letting her take a wing at it.
"What's'yer combination?" She asked, smiling at me. I named off the numbers and she got it on the first try.
"Now you better be expectin' me to hack ya locker." She said, giggling. I smiled and put
my stuff away.
"I'm Sophia." I said, holding out my hand.
"Fallyn." She said, pushing my hand away and bringing me in for a hug.
"What class'ya got next?" She asked, taking a peek at my schedule.
"Geography." I said. She sent me an apologetic look.
"What? You don't have that class?" I asked. I had hoped she would, just so I wouldn't be totally alone.
"No, I do. It's just the teacher.. He talks loud. He's a right creep." She said, patting my back, and walking into a classroom.
As I followed, entering the room, everyone's eyes were on me. I fell uncomfortable as I went over to the teacher.
"Hi.." I whispered. He scanned the room, looking for an empty seat. Luckily, there was one behind Fallyn. I mentally thanked god, and the teacher.
As the teacher got into mountain formations and plate techtonics, my mind went to other things.
I really wanted to confront Niall about what happened last night. Ask him what the hell went on. But somehow I knew if I wanted to see him, I wouldn't.
As everytime I never expected to see him, I would. It seemed like that was going to be an ongoing occurance.
"Sophia." I heard. I snapped away from my thoughts as I looked up and saw the famous RedHead looking at me expectanly. I looked around and saw that everyone had left.
"It's time t'leave." She said. My cheeks flushed a bright red as I stood up and picked up my books walking out.
"I hope you've got language arts next." She stated and I sadly shook my head.
"Maths." I said. Math was always my non-favoured subject. I always sucked at equations.

"You never wanna get the tater tots. They taste like dirt." She said, scrunching her nose up. I laughed as we sat by ourselves.
"You don't have any other friends you sit with?" I asked, opening the cap of my water.
"Nah. Sorry I took you under my wing. I'm not much of a people person." She said.
I smiled. I actually liked her. I scanned the lunch room, looking for any signs of Niall.
He looked like he was around my age, why wouldn't he be at school? Did he go to a different school.
"Who ya lookin' for?" She asked. I looked down at my tray and began to talk.
"Do you know a boy named Niall?" I asked. Surely she knew him. He's from around here.. I thought.
"Nope. Never heard of him." She said, stuffing a mini corndog in her mouth.
"So.. Where'ya from?" She asked...
Looks like I'd have to look for him after school.
_____
So I didn't want this to be like twilight.. Because I hate when stories do that.
So I made the school scene a little different..
VOMMENT!
