"Is there a number we can call for your parents?" Mike asked the girl. They had brought her back to Mike's house since it was awful outside and they would be terrible people if they left her out there. She sat on the couch of the basement while y/n and the boys stood in front of her.
"Where's your hair? Do you have cancer?" Dustin asked.
Y/n slapped his arm "Dustin," she scolded "You can't just ask people if they have cancer."
"Did you run away?" Lucas asked.
"Are you in some kind of trouble?" Y/n asked considering it was unusual for a girl there age to wondering around by themselves late at night.
"Is that blood?" Lucas asked and went to touch the red stain on the girls shirt.
"Stop it!" You're freaking her out!" Mike said as he slapped Lucas' hand away.
"She's freaking me out!" Lucas argued.
"I bet she's deaf," Dustin said and clapped his hands in front of her face "Not deaf."
"Stop it! That's enough." y/n said as she saw the girls facial expression.
"She's just scared and cold." Mike added then went to his laundry basket.
He picked up a sweater and pants for her and took them back.
"Here, these are clean. Okay?"
The girl took them and examined them for a few seconds before standing up. She started to remove her shirt.
"No, no, no, ah shit. Oh my god." the boys all yelled and turned away. Y/n had quickly grabbed the girls hands to stop her.
"No you can get changed in the bathroom," y/n said and pointed to the bathroom. "Privacy, get it?"
Y/n guided her to the bathroom and went to shut the door but the girl grabbed it making y/n confused.
"You don't want me to close it?" Y/n asked.
"No." the girl answered.
Y/n looked over at the boys quickly to see if they heard it. They did.
"Okay well how about we keep the door like that."
y/n said and left the door open a few inches.
"Is that good?"
"Yes."
"Sweet." y/n nodded before smiling at the girl and walking off.
"What are we gonna do?" She whisper-yelled as she approached the boys.
"At least she can talk." Mike said.
"She said 'no' and 'yes'. Your three year old sister says more." Lucas said to Mike.
"She tried to get naked." Dustin said.
"There's something seriously wrong with her," Lucas said then tapped his forehead "Like wrong in the head."
"She seems harmless." y/n shrugged.
