"Come on pup, time to see Alic." Beta Malak says and I groan.

"Do we really have to? Bane doesn't even know I'm gone yet." I complain not realizing my mistake.

"Bane? As in the young Alpha?" He asks and I awkwardly chuckle.

"Ummm... yes?" I answer it sounding more like a question.

"Of course you're an Alpha kid. We find the most trouble." He chuckles.

"You're an Alpha kid? But you're a Beta." I say and he laughs.

"Yea, that's by choice... Never wanted to be Alpha. I was happy with it when my brother was around but later?... I like being Alic's Beta way better." He tells me.

"Well as a fellow Alpha kid can you not rat me out?" I ask with a big grin and he laughs shaking his head.

"Nice try, pup. Let's go." He pats my shoulder then leads the way to the main house mansion thing.

"Hey buddy!" Beta Malak says barging into the Alpha's big office. "Looks like Bane had a little stow away."

At this the Alpha looks at me and I feel like a bug. The power he has makes me want to bear my neck in submission instantly.

"You look an awful lot like your brother, Libby." He says and my jaw drops.

"How'd you..."

"Your brother talks about you a good bit. Plus as I said you look alike... so I'm assuming Bane doesn't know you are here." He states with a raised eyebrow but a slight smirk.

"No sir." I answer looking away still a bit intimidated by his obvious power.

"Aww knock it off Alic you have no room to scold the girl." Beta Malak says laughing and the Alpha chuckles.

"True, but it would be irresponsible to not to correct bad behavior." The Alpha responds.

"Please don't let him send me home. I'll do anything!" I beg.

"Hummm... Bane told me how you wanted to come. I'm honestly not surprised to see you here, but I'm sure he will want to send you home. The war is coming here and he doesn't want you in harms way. He will be training like all the other warriors and can't keep watch over you. I'm sorry pup but I agree with your brother. You should be somewhere where an adult can look after you."

"I promise I won't get into trouble and I'll listen to the adults here. Please sir, I don't want to leave my family." I respond and he sighs.

"We can take her." Beta Malak says. "Braxton and Percy have been begging to train. They think they are hot stuff. I think Libby here could help knock those two down a peg. Plus she can help motivate them to focus and do better. Nothing motivates a young boy more than getting taken down by a girl. At this point one more kid is nothing in the zoo I call home."

"You sure Malakai?" The Alpha asks.

"I'm sure."

Bane POV

"Hello." I answer my phone.

"Yea, Bane... did you decide to bring your sister with you?" My aunt asks.

"No, she is meant to be staying with you... where is she!?" I growl.

"We haven't seen her since you left." She responds.

"That was three days ago!" I yell. How could she not tell me sooner?

"Sorry Alpha, she has a habit of running off for a day. We just figured she was upset about you leaving but we've searched all the pack lands and can't find her!" She says and I run to the King's office.

"Sir I have to take half of my men to search for my sister. She is missing and I'm guessing she tried to follow us. I need to find her." I tell him and he nods.

"I'll send a few of mine as guides. They know this land. Don't worry we will find her." He tells me and we begin gathering our people.

We make it to the boarder when some of the King's men stop us.

"The King wants you to come back." One of the man tells me and I growl.

"I need to find my sister!"

"That's just it, sir. They've found her so if you'll..." he didn't get the chance to finish as I take off back to the main house.

"Where is she?" I yell in panic as soon as I am in the office.

"Hi bubby." The little girl waves as she sits in the chair opposite the king next to Beta Malak. I take a breath. She is okay.

"You little..." I growl pulling her out of the chair to hug her. "Why would you do that?! I was so worried!"

"I didn't want you to send me home so I waited until we got here. I was gonna tell you yesterday when we arrived but you were busy." She tells me and I growl again.

"So you traveled with us. How did you go unnoticed?" I ask and she just uuummms not wanting to respond. Taking in her scent gives me my answer though.

"PAXTON!" I roar.

"Bane, chill. He knew I just wanted to be with my family and if you would have sent me back I would have tried again on my own. He was protecting me." Libby says.

"He should have been reporting to his Alpha." I respond.

"He was being a good friend to me and a good helper to you. He knew how you would respond and made the call that would keep me safe." She explains.

"Fine then he can be the one to take you home and miss out on training because you aren't staying here. I can't keep an eye on you and train with the men. No. You are going home." I tell her.

"Bane, if I may?" The king interrupts. "Malak here has a heard of pups the youngest few are near Libby's age. He and my sister could take her in while you are here. Once you are over 4 pups what's one more? They can handle her and no one needs to leave."

I look at Libby's pleading eyes. Something tells me they already had this planned.

"You sure you can take her on, Beta?" I ask just to make certain he agrees.

"Sure thing. She can train with my boys. They have been begging me to let them train. I think having a girl beat them down will help with the cocky attitude I've been getting. You'd be doing me a favor." I'm not even gonna ask how he knows she can fight.

"Fine, you can stay." I agree and she cheers causing both of the other men in the room to laugh.

Please don't let her get hurt.
