(Amelia)
I exploded out into the streets endeavoring to get as far away from him as possible .
As I ran I pictured him in my head, and a name kept coming to me.Enjolras
Enjolras
ENJOLRAS.
I screamed to myself in frustration. Why was I seeing these things?!
I started to run faster towards the Bastille elephant, hoping that the solitary darkness would make me forget all about it.Unfortunately the unnamed Gods of fate decided otherwise. In my haste I ran straight into someone and was thrown down by the force of the impact. My head was reeling from the shock of it. As I looked up, a pair, although blurry, of smart shoes stood before me. Eventually several other pairs joined the first, their frantic footsteps sounding like horse hooves as they hit the ground again and again.
An arm extended out to help me up. Gingerly I took it, trying not to touch the stranger too much. After my latest encounters with strangers, I was afraid to provoke the random person who had helped me up."Are you okay mademoiselle? " his face creases up in concern, small wrinkles appearing by his eyes. I open my mouth to speak before realizing that these were the words the angel haired boy had said minutes before
" I- I'm okay monsieur. Thank you for helping me up." I smile politely.
Suddenly I'm over come with a weird spinning sensation. I force it down as the man begins to speak again. I realise as he says his name that this is the boy Eponine had been staring lovingly at during the rally. " My name is Marius Pontmercy, and this is Joly, Grantaire, feuilly and Jehan. " his smile spreads across his face, and I can see why Eponine fancies him. His abundance of freckles is just adorable.
I find myself smiling , his joy infectious.
"Amelia Juliette monsieur. " I reply, realising I'd given my name to two perfect strangers in less than an hour.Suddenly the spinning returned and I could do nothing but give Marius a pleading look before I passed out.
~♥~(Marius)
Before I knew it, the girl collapsed at my feet, a gash on her forehead bleeding profusely ." See! What did I tell you Fueilly? Marius has the power to make women swoon at his feet! " R laughed drunkenly, hiccuping as he chuckled.
" Now is not the time for jokes 'taire. We need to help her inside and clean her up. "
Despite the fact that we had only just met, I instantly felt a connection between the girl and myself, but I couldn't pinpoint why.Fueilly and Jehan gently picked her up off the dusty floor and we all trooped back towards the musain .
All except Joly. He stood with his mouth agape, his eyes glazed over. I ran back towards him and grabbed his shoulder. I was about to call the others back when he came to his senses, a single tear rolling down his cheek.
" Joly are you okay? You look as if you've seen a ghost " I exclaimed.
He said nothing and nodded slowly before sprinting to catch up with the others.Enjolras was there when we arrived. His face bore a chastising look , but it soon grew pale when he saw her. Joly set to work with her wound ,but I couldn't help but notice how silent Enjolras, a man known for not knowing when to shut up, was as he sat in the corner of the café...
