"Issac! Issac! Issac!" yelled Silvestre as he limped through the hallways.

He had only rolled his ankle and bruised his leg, but it still hurt when he put his entire body weight on his leg. Even then, he could hardly feel the pain with the amount of adrenaline and glee radiating off of him. With a smile larger than ever, he ran up to Issac and pulled him into a hug.

"He said yes! He said yes!" cried the boy, jumping in circles as he all but squealed.

"Good for you, now let me go," said Issac, suffocated by Silvestre's joy.

"Sorry, sorry, but I'm just so fucking happy, dude!"

Issac smiled at his friend even if his joy was sickeningly sweet. With a small pat on his back, Issac took a sip of his mountain dew.

"I'm happy for you, Silve. So, when's the big day?"

"No clue. I have too much to prepare and not enough time to do it!" yelled Silvestre, his voice bouncing off the walls of the school before he tripped on air.

"I'm okay! Better than okay! I'm fucking amazing!"

Instead of doing his homework, Silvestre scribbled down some more ideas to build off of his skatepark offer. It seemed too casual, too platonic. He needed something sweet and romantic, something to make Rayyan swoon. Bitting at the end of his purple pen, Silvestre pouted.

All he had written was: "serenade him? Nah I suck at singing. give him a present (your literally broke) romamtic rohmantic roahmantic," in very questionable spelling.

Sure he had a few (a lot) of pages of Algebra he needed to do, mostly because he hardly ever did his homework, and a reading log to fill out, his brain was too busy bubbling with bashfulness. He could hardly form a phrase before his face grew warm with a blush and a tingly feeling filled his stomach. Rubbing the soreness from his ankle, he rubbed his eyes, trying to make himself focus on planning his and Rayyan's rendezvous.

No matter what he didn't, me couldn't help but remember the way his heart fluttered when Rayyan shut him up. It was exhilarating and hot, unlike anything he had ever felt before. He wanted their date to be special, a catalyst into what he hoped was a long and beautiful relationship.

As Silvestre stared off into space, his phone buzzed to his side. Jumping, the boy quickly checked the message he'd received.

From Rayyan (.///.): hey.

Silvestre smiled at his phone, shoving the papers away as he laid on his stomach, swinging his feet behind him.

To Rayyan (.///.): hi :))

Silvestre tossed his phone to the side, hiding his face in his hands as a blush floated his skin. His legs flailed behind him, excitedly swinging as a small giggle left his lips.

His phone buzzed a few more times before Silvestre picked up his phone, a large grin painted on his lips.

From: Don't overthink our date, okay? Any time with you is time we'll spent.

To: ur killing me rayyan

From: Don't die, I need you alive so I can see your cute face.

To: u killed me im dead now
that was so corny
but I like u so ill let it slide
why do u end all of ur texts with periods

From: It's grammatically correct.
Anyway, you have a lot of planning to do.

To: ha nerd
i do but i like talking to u more

Before they knew it, the two were caught into a web of endless hypotheticals and random questions. From standing on airplanes to handstands on swing sets, the two were solely immersed in their conversation. The world went quiet, with only the sound of their thrumming hearts filling the soft, delicate void they called a flourishing romance.

To: If you didn't need a job to survive in our world, what would you spend time doing? I would probably go visit family and stuff

From: I'd probably just want to stargaze.

To: really? why?

From: I don't know, I just find looking up to an endless abyss of stars and galaxies unexplored by humanity is calming I guess.

It makes all this pressure I put in myself lighter. I'm just a human in a floating rock around space, but being myself is what makes me special, so why bother being something I'm not and doing this I don't like?

To: youre too good for this world ray

From: I know.

Silvestre giggled to himself, a blush coating his skin like a soft rouge. Tossing his phone to the side, he stared at the plans scribbled about his notebook paper. All he wanted to do with Rayyan was talk to him, make him laugh, hold his hand. What he wanted was simple, and any time spent with Rayyan was special.

He had nothing to worry about.

Rayyan liked him for him. He knew that anything Silvestre did from the heart would be loved by Rayyan.

With a small sigh, he made a list on his phone for things he needed to buy, and a tactical plan to get Issac to lend him some money.

To: are u free Friday at 7
