Their surroundings are a blur, a stark contrast to the soft guitar playing from the radio and the content smile on Florida's face.

The tires screech as he hugs a turn, Florida doesn't react, still watching the surroundings with a smile.
Adrenaline rushes through him and his hands tighten around the wheel, the car hums as he speeds up.

He goes through the track with the ease of a professional and though there's a knowing look in his eyes, Florida does not comment.

Indiana decides he doesn't mind Florida that much, not anymore.

He's fuming, storming through the house in burning rage and ignoring the yelling behind him. He throws the front door open, ignoring how it slams into the wall before he pulls it shut.

Florida's on the porch, watching the sunset with a blank stare. He meets Indiana's eyes and there's an unspoken agreement between the two.

Florida kicks the chair beside him out so Indiana has a place to sit and Indiana sinks into the seat with a sigh, rubbing a tired hand over his face. Florida doesn't say anything, just stares ahead and drums his fingers on the arm of his chair.

The summer air keeps them warm despite the blanket of darkness settling over the house. The quiet reminds him of what made him angry to begin with.

Florida holds a hand out and he takes it, sighing heavily.

Florida gives a reassuring squeeze and pulls away, "you'll get through this," he murmurs, "we'll be okay."

Indiana nods and leans back, they'd be alright.

The next day he finds a record by his door. He doesn't care much for music, but it's electric guitar and drums that remind him of the track and he thinks he's found a new favorite album.

Florida dances through the kitchen, light footed with joy. There are various different bowls and pans littering the kitchen counters. Something upbeat pours into the kitchen from the small speaker he's set up.

Indiana takes in the scene with an amused smile and waits for Florida to notice him. Florida tosses diced vegetables into a pot on the stove then batter into a pan he places in the oven before finally noticing him.

He startles and glares, "come on, Indi, give a guy a warning."

"Where's the fun in that?"

Florida huffs and pauses the music, "what are you doing here?"

He shrugs, "I didn't feel like going out today."

Florida nods and points to the speaker, "do you mind?" He shakes his head and Florida unpauses the playlist.

Florida returns to dancing around the kitchen and adding different ingredients to the pots and pans set out in the kitchen as though Indiana wasn't there.

There's a level of trust now, Indiana realizes, he was part of Florida's life now, the thought makes him smile.

"Anything I can do?" Florida nods and begins walking him through the different dishes he was preparing. Warmth fills his chest as they begin laughing and joking their way through the list.
