With your skateboard and bag in your hand you drop the board and head home in the dark. You didn't realize how late it was you were having too much hanging out with Nancy and her family hopefully one day you'll have something like that. 

You turn down the street on your board and notice a little red head girl sitting on the curb messing with what looks like a skateboard. You ride over to her maybe she needs help "Hey are you okay?" you ask her. She looks up at you "Yeah my wheel is stuck I'm trying to fix it" still trying to get the wheel off you grab your bag and pull out a screwdriver and hand it to her. "Here this might help" she grabs it from you "Thanks" and starts unscrewing the wheel. 

After 10 mins the red head finally fixes her wheel some string got in the gears and she got it out. You smile at her and introduce yourself "I'm Y/n btw" red head looks at you "I'm Max thanks for the save." Max Billy's sister is this red head? "Are you Billy's little sister?" you ask her curiously. "Yeah I am why?" she asks. Fuck! You thought he still hasn't found her but good thing you did.

"Your brother came by the Wheelers house looking for you" you explain "I can ride home with you if you want." Max looks at you scared and hurries towards her house "Can you please? He's gonna kill me" Did she really mean that. You both race to her house on your boards it didn't take long to get there and you both look at each other then at the driveway.

Billy's blue Camaro sits in the driveway but not Billy so he must be inside and Max shouldn't be in too much trouble you thought. Billy looked sad and scared when he showed up at the Wheelers house looking for her. "I'll walk you to the door and tell your parents you was with me" you tell her smiling and not wanting her to get grounded for being out this late.

Max looks at you smiling and gives you a hug "Thank you Y/n!" then you both head to the door. As Max is about to open it the door starts to turn and pull open. "Get in here you little shit" Billy says and opens the door wider for Max to get in. "See you later Max" you say as she runs inside away from Billy.

"What are you doing here Y/n?" Billy asks calmly. You glare at him then calm down before answering, you didn't like the way he just talked to Max. "I'm bringing your sister home sorry she's late we lost track of time" you tell him. Worried for Max you continue "Max is a cool kid be nicer to her Billy" then you walk off the porch and go home. Billy slams the door without a word and goes back to his room.

You hope Max is gonna be okay tonight.
