Y/n stayed at Mike's for dinner that night too along with Dustin and Lucas. They had to leave El up in Mike's room. Y/n hoped she was okay.

Y/n usually enjoyed the dinners Mrs Wheeler made, tonight however she was struggling to eat it. She had lost her appetite completely.

"Something wrong with the meatloaf?" Mrs Wheeler asked. Y/n noticed none of the boys were really eating either.

"Oh no I had two bologna sandwiches for lunch." Dustin answered, smiling.

"I don't know why." he added.

"Me too." Lucas said.

"It's delicious, Mummy." Nancy said, looking at her mother.

"Thank you, sweetie." Mrs Wheeler replied.

"So, there's this special assembly thing tonight for Will at the school field. Barbs driving." Nancy said.

"Why am I just hearing about this?" Asked Mrs Wheeler.

"I thought you knew." Nancy shrugged.

"I told you, I don't want you out after dark until Will is found." Mrs Wheeler said, tired of repeating herself.

"I know, I know, but it'd be super weird if I'm not there. I mean, everyone's going." Nancy reasoned.

Mrs Wheeler sighed. "Just. . . Be back by ten."

Nancy nodded.

"Why don't you take the boys and y/n, too?" Mrs Wheeler suggested.

"No!" The four of them said at once.

"Don't you think you should be there? For Will?" Mrs Wheeler said.

"I would." Y/n pretended to fake sob, "But it would just be to hard." She said and put her head in her hands, pretending that it upset her what Mrs Wheeler said.

"Oh, sweetie. It's okay." Mrs Wheeler said and reached out to rub y/n's back.

Y/n saw from the corner of her eye a figure moving down the stairs. It was El.

Mike had spit out his drink upon seeing her, Mrs Wheeler went to look what Mike was looking at but Dustin banged on the table making her turn back.

"Sorry. Spasm" he said as Holly started crying.

"It's okay, it's just a loud noise, Holly." Mrs Wheeler coed her three year old daughter.

Making sure El wasn't going to wonder around Mike's house, y/n got up and excused herself.

"Will you excuse me for a second. I need to. . ." She muttered "Bathroom."

She gave Mike a knowing look before speed walking to find El.

Y/n was glad to have found her in the basement playing with Mike's Supercomm.

Y/n smiled. "You like that thing. Don't you?"

El didn't reply but continued to fiddle with the supercomm, as if she was determined to find something.

Y/n went and sat beside her and watched her with a bit of amusement.

"Y/n? El?" Y/n heard Mike's voice call. Soon enough he appeared at the end of the staircase with a tray of food, followed by Dustin and Lucas.

"No adults just us and some meatloaf." Mike said and placed the tray in front of El.

Y/n saw El look anxiously at Dustin and Lucas.

"Don't worry they won't tell anyone about you." Y/n said then looked up at the two. "Right?"
