"You know this is reminding me a lot of your first date with him" Jungkook chuckled as he fixed Jimin's bowtie.
"The nervousness or me looking good?" Jimin grinned.
Jungkook thought for a moment "Both" he laughed "Are you excited?"
"I'm so nervous, I never thought I would be walking down the aisle" Jimin let out a deep breath he had been holding "Does the white look okay on me?"
"You look stunning" Jungkook smiled, "We can't forget the gloss, do the soft pink one!" he suggested.
"What about jewelry?" Jimin asked as he put on some pink gloss.
"Let's put these on~" Jungkook grabbed some diamond hoops and a matching necklace "Breathtaking~"
"Woah this is like Deja vu-" Jimin laughed. The two finished getting Jimin ready so he could make his grand entrance.
Jungkook watched Jimin as he sat there getting his hair done. He never thought his best friend would be getting married in a million years. He always thought he would just settle for Jooheon. Thank God he didn't.
"Are you happy?" Jungkook asked.
Jimin turned his head towards the younger "Koo, you have no idea how happy I am" he smiled.
"That's all I needed to confirm" Jungkook grinned "I'll have to remind Taehyung that if he ever messes up with you, they'll be finding his body in a lake."
Jimin burst out laughing "He'll never mess up with me," he looked down "He treats me well and makes me happy, that's all I could ever ask for..."
"Is it strange marrying someone from a chaebol family?" Jungkook asked.
"Well..."
"I'd say it is" Taehyung's mother interrupted.
"Mrs. Kim" Jimin bowed.
She chuckled a bit "Honey, you don't need to be so formal with me, call me mom~" she smiled "Sorry for listening in, but I was in your shoes once, Minie"
Jimin blushed at his mother-in-law's little nickname "How did you get used to it?"
"It just took a lot of time and patience. There were a lot of long nights where Tae's father would be home late, and lot's of fancy outings where you'll feel out of place, but at the end of the day what helped me sleep at night is that none of that mattered."
"What does matter?" Jungkook asked.
She gave a warm smile "What mattered is at the end of the day we came home to the same house, fell asleep in the same bed, and woke up to each other the next morning. All that mattered is that we had each other~"
Jimin started to tear up "Thank you, mom" he choked out.
"Of course sweetie~" She pulled him into a hug "Now, don't mess up your makeup!"
Jimin nodded as Jungkook handed him a few tissues to blot his tears. The door opened and Namjoon peeked his head in.
"Are you ready, Jimin?" He asked, a grin forming on his face "You're gonna leave him speechless"
"I'm ready, I'm so nervous" Jimin breathed.
"Whose walking you down the aisle?" Namjoon asked curiously.
Jimin looked over to Jungkook "Koo, of course~"
"You bet your ass I am!" Jungkook smiled as he stood up.
Everyone started to gather what they needed to get ready for the wedding to start.
Taehyung's mother walked over to Jimin and kissed him on his forehead "Remember to breathe" she started to tear up "I'm so happy Taehyung found you" he pulled her into a tight hug, no other words exchanged. Jimin never had the closest relationship with his parents, they weren't abusive or anything but when he got old enough to move out and cut them off he did exactly that. No one knew what happened between his family and him.
"Let's go get you married" Jungkook smiled as he linked his arm with Jimin's. Placing a red rose in his jacket pocket.
The piano started playing, the doors opened and everyone stood up. Jimin felt like he was in a romance movie. Everything seemed so unreal. He immediately locked eyes with Taehyung, who had a warm smile on his face. Just seeing the younger's face put Jimin at ease. All of his nerves calmed down and he felt like he was floating.
Taehyung had the biggest grin on his face. When he was getting ready, all he could think about was Jimin. Taehyung had pre-wedding jitters. He was so nervous he felt like he was going to throw up. Now that he's watching Jimin walk down the aisle all those worries went away. He glanced over towards his parents who had nothing but happy smiles on their faces. His father looked like he was on the verge of crying.
Nothing made him happier than seeing the love of his life walk towards him, looking equally as happy.
"I love you~" Jimin mouthed.
Taehyung felt himself blush "I love you too" he mouthed back.
Jimin was finally standing right in front of him. How could a person be so breathtaking up close? Jimin was equally in awe of how stunning Taehyung looked.
"You look so pretty" Jimin complimented. He had never seen the younger blush so much.
"I should be the one saying that to you... You look stunning" Taehyung whispered back. The two in their own, quiet, conversation.
"Are we ready to begin?" the officiate asked.
The two looked at each other and nodded, the biggest smiles decorating their faces. The entire ceremony passed by in a blur. Taehyung could barely even remember saying their "I do's" to each other. He was so excited and overwhelmed.
Taehyung and Jimin were finally married.
The reception took place at Namjoon's bar. Everyone and their mother attended that. Who wouldn't when it was an open bar?
"Everyone listen!" Hoseok gently tapped a knife against his glass to get everyone's attention "Here's to the most amazing people ever. May they have nothing but happiness, love, and understanding in their life! To Taehyung and Jimin!" he smiled. Everyone cheered as they clinked their glasses together.
Taehyung pulled Jimin in close and kissed him "So you finally made up your mind?" Jimin teased.
"I can't believe you remember what you said the first time we met" Taehyung chuckled.
Jimin grabbed Taehyung's hand and dragged him to the middle of the bar "I think right here is exactly where we stood too"
"Should we get outta here?" Taehyung suggested.
"You mean to leave our own wedding reception?" Jimin questioned, a sly smirk appearing on his face. He leaned in and kissed Taehyung "I'll meet you out at the car~"
Taehyung felt his heart racing as Jimin pulled away and started to make his way through the crowd. He shook his head and chased after the older.
To think this started from a small one-night stand. All of this was a fortunate stroke of serendipity.
Now all they had to do was look forward to all of the amazing things yet to come.
end.
