first known for her role on the series the vampire diaries, playing mikayla 'kayla' bennett in 2010, she would later land a role as scarlett deaton on the hit mtv series teen wolf in 2012. she starred in fantastic four in 2015 as susan storm alongside miles teller and michael b jordan. she also starred in the romantic-comedy film tragic kisses alongside theo james. sage played the supporting character, felicia hardy in the 2018 film spiderman: first home and avengers: infinity war (2018). she will be reprising her role in the marvel cinematic universe in the film black cat and avengers: endgame both coming out in 2019.
