Soobin let out a groan as he slowly stir awake. He did not quite remember what had happened before he passed out and his mind was hazy, like a thick fog was blocking that particular memory. The boy tried to blink his eyes open, but every time he felt he did, his vision was still obscure. So, he tried to move his hands to rub his eyes, but that was when his heart almost stopped. He realize that he couldn't. Instantly, the memories of the events from before flashed in his mind and dread settled in.
He was caught. Soobin had to force a lump that is forming in his throat down as realization kicked in. He was caught stealing Jaebum's precious map.
Now, what terrified Soobin wasn't what the camp leader would do to him, but what will happen to his siblings. Although in Soobin's eyes he is a creep, he knew that Lim Jaebum wasn't an idiot. The man probably knew that if Soobin was in his room, trying to steal the map, then the boy is planning to escape the camp, and there is no way he didn't told the others beforehand.
And like what he said, "expect the worst."
At this moment, all Soobin could think about is their death.
The boy was pulled back to reality when he felt someone pull his body up by his elbow and set him down on what he guess to be a chair. Before he knew it, the blinds that was used to cover his eyes were torn away. causing light to instantly flash into his eyes. momentarily blinding him.
"Awake?"
Soobin's face morphed into an angry scowl when he saw Jaebum standing in front of him with a smile on his face. Just like before, he was wearing a white blazer with a few buttons loose on the top, only, this time there was hints of red on his sleeves. That made Soobin's mind swirl into a hurricane of negative thoughts.
Noticing the boy's eyes on his sleeves, Jaebun chuckled before taking a few steps closer to his prisoner.
"Oh, this?" The man hummed as he held his bloodied sleeve and positioning it so that the younger could have a better look at it. "Don't worry. It's not from your little friends."
Soobin did not know whether he should be relieved or worried. Does that mean that's the blood of one of the campers? Was it the guy from before? Then what happened to his siblings?
"...what did you do to them?"
Seeing Soobin so scared and being all careful around him made Jaebum's excitement rise. Oh, how he's been waiting for this moment to come. He knew that this boy was somehow related to her, and he can't wait for what he was about to do.
Jaebum couldn't stop the smirk appearing on his face.
It's been years since he saw her beautiful face. Years since he hear her carefree laugh. Years since she rejected him and never spare him a glance. And even after all those years, even after the world come to an end, he never once forgotten her.
"Not to worry. They are fine." The man brushed Soobin's worries off like it was nothing. The boy, however, became more worried, and his gut feeling is always right. Jaebum smiled as he made his way towards the table Soobin hadn't realize was there. Now that Soobin was more conscious, he finally realized that he was not longer in Jaebum's room, but somewhere like an underground chamber.
The walls around him was damp and moss covered most of the concrete surface. The room was small and empty, except for the wooden chair he was tied to and the small table next to him. On one side of the walls was not concrete, but rather a dark colored glass which Soobin cannot see the other side of.
"Well, at least, I can promise you that, if-" the man's voice forced Soobin to snap his head towards the camp leader. The tall male watched as the man took something from the table and held it out for the boy to see. When he realized what the item was, his eyes widens in horror, "-you promised to be obedient to me."
