Ep 33

PoV: Sonic

"It's done," I smiled as I had completely reconstructed and redesigned the ring generator.

   It was much more powerful and faster than before. It even had a fully functional defence system to keep anyone from shutting it down. It also had several secret ring ejections ports if the main outport became blocked or obstructed in anyway.

  I did as instructed, Master. Is it to your liking?

"Yoku yatta ne."

  It was time for phase 2. With Eggman working on the factory, I couldn't make any obvious alterations. Thankfully this wouldn't be anything he'd notice anyway.

"Where do you think you're going?" Shadow grabbed me as I was leaving.

"I'm done, and my reward isn't sex so I'm going tell Eggman and help him upgrade his robots with ring slots," I tugged at my hand, but Shadow wasn't letting go.

"You-"

"Sonic the Hedgehog to the factory bay. Sonic the Hedgehog to the factory bay," Eggman was calling me to the factory bay.

"Guess Eggman needs me," I pulled my arm away from Shadow.

"You'll get your reward when you finish," Shadow replied.

"Hm? Maybe for doing more good I'll get something worth while," I grabbed my toolbox.

"If you do well, we'll go on a date," Shadow started walking away.

"...a date?" Shadow had never offered that as a reward before... "Shadow. Do you really mean it? You're taking me on a date?" He finally showing romantic interest!

"If you get the work done. And don't cause trouble," Shadow left after that.

  A date with Shadow~ maybe we will be able to rule the world together after all~

"Chūi shite kudasai. Kare wa anata ni uso o tsuite iru kamo shiremasen."

  He's not lying... I know he's... I looked at my glove where the tracker was hidden. He might be telling the truth... There's a chance... I clenched my fist and went down to the factory bay. Eggman was working on the assembly line.

"Sonic, excellent. I need you to work on building robots while I get this blasted machine working," Eggman ordered.

"I'll adjust all the robots to use rings. I finished the generator, all it needs is a chaos emerald or a shard of the master emerald to function. Power stones are long extinct now," I answered, getting to work on my plan right away. 

"Excellent! Now get to work!" Eggman snapped.

  It didn't take long for me to make the adjustments I needed for Master. Our next mission will be our most successful, Master. Eggman's missions will begin failing.

PoV: Shadow

  It was my only chance to pull this off. Both Sonic and Eggman were busy in the factory bay. Rouge had snuck into Eggman's lab and stolen a copy of all of Eggman's plans.

  Now I was changing the ships trajectory to Tails' city. Tomorrow, weather we had a mission or not, I'd take Sonic into the city... so long as the restraints are on him, he can't escape with chaos control. He can't use chaos energy for anything else. His speed and intent to kill are are we need to worry about. If I can get him calmly captured no one will have to get hurt. Plan A has to work.

--- Tomorrow: Plan Day ---

"We have arrived," Eggman grinned as we arrive at -which he didn't realize- the wrong city, "Shadow, Rouge, your mission today-"

"Alert! Chaos Emerald signature detected. Chaos Emerald signature detected. Approximate distance is twelve miles north."

  Good... They've activated the plan.

"Ohohohohohoh! Shadow! Rouge! Your mission for today. Destroy this city and enslave its citizens. Sonic. Bring me the chaos emerald at all costs. Go on and power up the generator. Fix up as many broken robots as you can during the fight. Hold the army together."

"Of couse Egglord. I'll do anything for the Egg Empire. I'll bring you that emerald at all costs," the grin on Sonic’s face as he bowed...

This fat bastard... just gave him permission to kill... He has no idea what he's unleashed...

"I will begin preparation before departing," I left the room before teleporting for my room.

I need to warn them now. This is going become more difficult. I opened my armory, the only thing I could pick up was a tranquilizer gun capable of taking down a bear.

"No..." I suck the tranquilizer into my quills for safe keeping. I grabbed a pistol to keep on me, "I can't hold back..."

All I can say is. I've been waiting to publish a scene I wrote before I even published this book. And we're getting really fucking close to it.
