PoV: SonicI awoke alone on an old sofa that moths had feasted on. I was inside an old RV-turned hideout. Rotting paper and faded ink layout unreadable blueprints and plans. I dare not open the fridge, it would be apocalyptic for me to do so. The dust-covered furniture and the missing portrait from lonely nails on the walls. I knew exactly where I was, but I was unsure of how I found my way here.
Besides the couch I was sleeping on was Master Emerald in all its glory, minus the piece embedded in my body.
"Did you bring me here, Master?" I gently touched the cold side of the large emerald, "What do we do now?"
"We begin preparations and build," it whispered to me."
"Hai, Master," I stepped outside the camouflaged door, and sure enough, I stood in the abandoned trash pile from Robotnik's Era as ruler over Mobius. I had all the metal scraps and tools I needed.
Finally, I can do as I please without Eggman or Shadow. I shall make the world as Master sees fit.
"Ngh!" My head suddenly ached as I began building, using Chaos's tentacles to aid in my construction, "Quiet down!" Sonic shouted as his mind started humming with distant memories, "I am in control of this body now."
Yellow eyes flickered as the old roboticizer was resurfaced as he gathered materials, "Tsk! Shut up!"
"Sonic, let's play a game!" Tails' voice rang in my ears.
"That's enough!" The ground below him cracked as Chaos became more infuriated with the appearance of Sonic's memories, "I'll just have to erase them all then. Every one of your memories."
Chaos assembled the Master Emerald and placed his hand on the side, "Remove all of those ridiculous memories."
The emerald began to shine and Sonic's body's eyes glowed green.
I brought Knuckles a pie Amy had asked me to deliver. We sat together and talked for a while. My heart felt like it beat a bit fast the closer I moved towards him but Knuckles didn't seem to notice. He rejected my ideas for fun days off and after a while, I needed to move around.
"I've been still for way too long. Mind if I run a few laps?" I asked, stretching and getting up off the hard stone.
"I don't care what you do," he laid back down, resuming his guarding position.
"Right," I sighed before running off through the forest. I stopped near the edge of the island where the breeze felt the best.
"Well that was dumb, I forgot how close I lived to Eggman," I sighed, my fluttering heart now calming. What is this feeling? It's not like how I felt with Sally.
My thoughts quickly changed as I saw something in the distance. The Eggman logo on a battleship. I quickly raced back to warn Knuckles.
"Eggman's on his way!" I shouted as I reached the bottom of the temple, "Knuckles!"
"Why is Eggman here?" Knuckles glided down the temple.
"He must have found an emerald, that's the only way to find Angel Island," I replied, "I'll call the other for back u- argh!"
The island shook Eggman had started blasting at the surface. Trees were cleared off and the battleship landed, releasing badniks across the island.
"No time, we handle this now," Knuckles ran ahead and soon I raced forward.
