"Morning dearest~" the golden monkey purred out from on top of you, you motionlessly looking to the side.

You responded with nothing, as you just stared at the cracked wall beside you.

You were just so...tired. Black bags started to collect under your eyes, no thanks to Wukong, and you could barely move any part of your body.

Wukong has been doing this for the past two weeks. At first, it was manageable. Barely, manageable. But something just broke within you. You could feel the light inside of you, your hope, start to dim.

Wukong started to slowly (but noticeably) hump your leg as he bit his lip in anticipation. You quickly jolt up to stop his intentions for the day as you spoke

"You have to go soon...it's unwise to...right now." You said with a shaky breath, as Wukong gave a pout.

"Ugh fine." The monkey said with reluctance as he flopped next to you, his tail tightly wrapped around you.

You sat in uncomfortable silence before Wukong broke it.

"Your birthdays tomorrow. It's your last day in here. I can leave " You gasped as you turned to look at Wukong, looking for any signs of him kidding. He had a serious expression on his face.

For the first time in possibly a year, you could feel yourself smile. But Wukong started to laugh. His laugh turned into a cackle. Curiosity overcame you as you turned to ask.

"W-why are you laughing?" You didn't realize how raspy your voice came from months without using it.

"Oh peaches, I didn't tell you did I?" Wukong gave a smile as he sat you up as he rose.

"If I'll be completely honest, I hated you when we first met. I planned to eat you, and then take over your kingdom." He snickered.

"Took a few days but I absolutely adored you~ and macaque completely shut down any idea of having a kid with me and every pass mate of mine ended up dying or running away." He said as you started to tremble.

"So I decided that as soon as I took over your kingdom I would take you in as my own instead. Maybe kill you when you started to get rebellious, depending on my mood." He casually said.

"And then you got older, and the older you got, the more I put a hold on the plan, till I realized. I. Loved. You~" he said, bopping your nose in the process.

"So I altered the plan. I'll "rescue you" and then you'll fall in love with me (you already have so that's a check) we'll get married, and you'll sign over your kingdom to me, and I'll become the supreme ruler of the earth and you'll be my wife!"

"What." You said deadpanning. Wukong looked at you confused.

"What was so hard about that to understand? You and I will get married in a few days and then I'm taking over the world." Wukong said with a smile. Unfortunately for you, you already managed to back up into the wall, so you couldn't accumulate more space between the two of you.
