Y/n was outside with her mum and Jonathan while they talked to a cop. The chief and another policemen were in the house, checking it cause her mother had seen something odd.

Joyce was holding onto y/n for dear life. Y/n still had tears silently rolling down her face.

"A trooper found something in the water that's at the quarry. Our working theory right now is that Will crashed his bike, he made his way over the quarry and uh, accidentally fell in. The earth must have given way." Hopper explained once they were back in the house. Y/n sat on the couch with a blanket around her. She couldn't feel anything.

"Joyce?" He questioned when she didn't say anything. "Do you understand what I'm saying?"

"No. Whoever you found. . . It's not Will." Joyce denied.

"Joyce—"

"No, you don't understand. I talked to him a half hour ago."

Y/n looked in their direction at this part.

"He was here. He was talking with these." Joyce said and pulled Christmas lights out of the cupboard.

"Talking?" Asked Hopper.

"Yes. One blink for yes, two for no." she said and put the lights back then walked over to the wall that had the alphabet painted on it "And then I made this so he could talk to me. Cause he was hiding. From that thing."

"The thing that came out of the wall? The thing that chased you?"

"Yeah, yeah."

"Mum, come on, please." Jonathan said and walked up to her "You've gotta stop this."

"No. It's after him! He's in danger. We have to find him!"

"What exactly was this thing. It was some kind of animal, you said?" Hopper asked.

"No it was almost human. But it wasn't. It had these long arms and it didn't have a face." She was muttering.

Jonathan had enough and stormed off, slamming the door closed to his room.

Y/n got up to drag herself to her bedroom as well. She couldn't help but wonder, the things her mother was saying and how El said Will was alive. Where they connected?

Jonathan had woken y/n up the following morning. They had to go properly identify Wills body.

She walked out into the living room with Jonathan and found their mother asleep on the couch.

"Mum?" Jonathan shook her awake. "It's almost 8:00. We have to go."

"Go where?" She asked.

"To see Will." Jonathan answered.

The drive there was silent. Y/n walked into the room and looked through the glass screen to a body still covered over and a nurse standing next to it.

Y/n gulped as the nurse lifted the blanket. She looked for a solid two seconds before she had to turn away. Jonathan had ran out of the room, gagging.

"He has a birth mark on his right arm." Joyce said "Can you show that to me?"

Y/n glanced to her arm. Where she had the same birthmark.

The nurse showed the birthmark. Joyce still didn't seem to believe it, she stormed out of the room the coroner stalked after her and y/n followed shortly after.
