You were going to Sam Wilson for counseling from your past trauma in the military (just pretend, okay?) and Steve was waiting for Sam outside. You were thanking Sam for the advice on how to manage stress when you ran into Steve...and poured your coffee on the both of you. You were immediately apologizing and ran to get paper towels. You started rubbing his shirt with the towel and kept babbling on until you looked up into his beautiful blue eyes and were starstruck.
"Um...I don't think a paper towel can get it out." You say with a nervous chuckle, "I can have it dry-cleaned for you."
Sam was watching from a far with an amused expression on his smooth face.
"Okay." He softly chuckles, blushing at your blushing cheeks. "Um, uhh—"
"Um, maybe you two should exchange numbers so she can pick the shirt up to have it dry-cleaned." Sam offers as he walks up, trying to withhold his smug smirk.
The two of you sheepishly exchanges numbers. Steve, being a gentleman, walked you to your car and asked if you were busy Friday night so you could spill dinner on him. The two of you laughed it off and you agreed before leaving.
