Reunion

The next morning y/n woke up when someone knocked on the door.

"Y/n are you awake?" Dustin's voice came from behind the door.

"Now I am. Did mom leave already?" Y/n yawns.

Dustin opens the door to y/n's room.

"Yes, hours ago. I just came to ask if we should ask friends over or something?"

"Sure, that would be fun. But first I want to practise in peace." She stands up and points to her guitar.

"Okay! Are you coming to have breakfast?"

Y/n yawns again. "Yeah, I'll be downstairs in a minute."

Soon the siblings were sitting at the kitchen table, enjoying the waffles that their mother had left for them.

"So, should I tell Mike to bring Nancy along too?" Dustin mumbled with his mouth full.

"Yes please! I don't want to spend the day with the children.."

"Oh come on, Steve and Robin will also come. Oh and I invited Eddie too."

"Thank god!" Y/n sighed in relief.
"I'm going to practice now. If someone comes while I'm still playing, don't disturb." She got up and left for her room.

*An hour later, downstairs.*

Everyone had already arrived, Mike, Will, Lucas, El, Max, Nancy, Steve and Robin. Well everyone, except Eddie who is known to be always late, and y/n who is still playing guitar in her room. Soon, however, Eddie also arriwed. He greeted everyone until he stopped and fell silent.

"What is that?" Eddie asked staring into nothingness. As if he were in a trance.

"Oh, it's just y/n. I bet she will stop soon." Dustin replied.

For a while, everyone was standing still and listening. Y/n was playing the guitar and singing "Bon Jovi's - Livin' on a prayer". She had no idea that the whole group was downstairs listening to her.
Suddenly Eddie started walking towards the stairs.

"Eddie no! She will kill you." Dustin yelled but Eddie wasn't listening.

Eddie arrived at the door of y/n's room and without hesitation he opened the door. Y/n looked straight into Eddie's eyes, a little confused, but decided not to care about the intruder. Eddie looked around and noticed another guitar in the corner of the room. He grabbed the guitar and went next to y/n. Eddie started playing and singing along with her. They looked at each other with a smile and play with emotion to the end of the song.

"That was fun. Thanks for letting me join." Eddie says while he couldn't stop smiling.

"Well, I really had no other option when I think about the fact that you just showed up here." Y/n looks at eddie with a grin.

"Yeah, I'm really sorry about that. I just couldn't resist the temptation."

"It's okay. It was actually quite fun.. and you're pretty good at playing the guitar."

"You too."

For a while they just stared into each other's eyes and smiled.

"So, uhm... I assume that everyone is already here?" Y/n asks awkwardly.

"Yeah, I think we better go there before Dustin thinks I'm dead." Eddie chuckles.

Y/n nods and heads downstairs with Eddie following behind.

"Oh wow, you finally bothered to join us." Dustin said with sarcasm.

Y/n didn't answer but hurried to hug Nancy.

"Omg Nancy I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too." Nancy said as she hugged her childhood bestfriend.

Then y/n hugged Robin, Lucas, El, Mike and Will. Then she saw Steve, who was one of her bestfriends. She stopped for a moment and looked at her friend with a tear in the corner of her eye.

"Can't I have a hug?" Steve said with a smile, his arms wide open.

Y/n rushed to him. Steve lifted her into the air.
"I missed you too shortie." He whispered and let her down.

Y/n looked around and asked. "Where is Max?"

"She went to the bathroom." Nancy answered.

At the same second the bathroom door opened. Y/n turned her head and saw Max, who was like a little sister to her. They hugged each other tightly.

"I can't believe that you are really here." Max said happily.

"Now that all the hugging is over... isn't anyone gonna say anything about what happened earlier?" Robin almost raised her voice in excitement.

"What happened?" Y/n asked confused.

"Umm hello, you and eddie. All that guitar, singing stuff." Nancy replied.

"What about it?" Eddie joined the conversation clearly as confused as y/n.

"You guys sounded amazing together!" El points out.

"YES! Thanks El. It was..." Robin just threw her hands in the air and tried to find words for the situation.

Y/n laughed. "Wow, thanks guys." She looked at Eddie and smiled to him. Eddie smiled back and winked.
