Baekhyun fixes his gaze at the unconscious girl next to him. Anyone could see the resentful flare blazes out from that pair of brown eyes.

She could be innocent. No, she is innocent.

But he is keep on reminded of the blood that runs through her, is the same as the one who leads the guys who killed Ara. It makes his anger boils.

Baekhyun simmers down as he quickly turns his head away, throwing his stare out the window.

Five days passed since he agreed to the plan, and in none of a single moment, he regretted the path he chose. Although hesitant sometimes distracted him, seeing his enemy right before his eyes tell him everything is going perfectly.

He shortly changes his gaze to the driver, catching a glimpse of Il-sung, Karl's new guy.

He joined the gang not less than a week from the date Baekhyun did. During the discussion, Baekhyun expected at least Karl's right man to assist him throughout the plan as he thought Il-sung couldn't be that great of help.

But Il-sung has proved him wrong.

He did the act alone and lured Taeyeon successfully.

Soon as the car turns at the second abandoned warehouse owned by Karl, which is located far from the one near the market, Il-sung parks the car and turns off the engine. He then shifts his body, facing Baekhyun, who has already opened the door.

"Do you want me to bring her in or you?" Il-sung asks. After all, he is just a sidekick to this whole plan.

"You," Baekhyun replies and glances at Taeyeon once before he gets off.

Pain and numbness.

Those are what Taeyeon feels soon as she gains consciousness. The cold and hard floor makes her want to open her eyes and see where she is, but pain takes all over her body.

Her stomach retches, and both her throat and lips are dry. She tries to move her body but soon realizes that her arms and legs are tied.

She then gathers her remaining energy to slowly flicker her eyes open. The dark vision slowly turns into a visual she wishes was only a nightmare.

She peers around the eerie room. In front of her is just an empty white wall with an old rusty door next to it. The lighting is poor as the only ray is from the small, slightly opened awning window. Besides those, nothing is there except for the dusty air that only adds to the clutter in the already paltry squalor.

She then slowly moves her body, trying to get rid of the numbness.

The sudden steps coming in after the squeaky sound from the opened rusty door freezes her for a moment. Fear controls her every inch, and anxiety starts creeping in as the steps get closer.

The pair of legs she has been anxiously staring at for a few seconds crouch down in front of her, making Taeyeon immediately meet an unfamiliar face.

"Hello," Karl greets with a wide smirk.

Taeyeon can feel her lips shaking as she tries to shut them close. His broad shoulders hold high, and his stern face features scare her. She tries to peak at the two figures behind him and meet with the pair of brown eyes she remembers was the last sight before she fainted.

"Wh-what do you w-want?" Taeyeon stutters as she asks.

"Oh, don't be scared, honey," Karl giggles. A rush of excitement drives in as he finally can grasp something that is Taejoon's. "You're here for things your brother has done."

Baekhyun, who is standing with both arms folded, averts his listless eyes with a long stare into Taeyeon's puzzled countenance. He can see her dry lips grow tense and firm.

"Wh-what do you mean?"

Karl laughs, finding it amusing to see Taeyeon's innocent face. He then sits with his legs crossed, takes out his phone, and dials the familiar number, "Let's hear from your brother."

The call suddenly stops ringing, and the sound of Taejoon's rough remark is soon heard on the loudspeaker.

"Let my sister go, you bastard."

When he couldn't find Taeyeon even after spending almost an hour searching, the Hustle instantly crossed Taejoon's mind. He went home, praying and hoping for her to be there, but the worst scenario in his head turns out to be true.

Karl laughs outrageously. To hear Taejoon's quavering voice is something he has wanted for a long time ago.

"Why are you so upset? Chill."

"Let my fucking sister go!" Taejoon exclaims loudly, making Karl's laughter blast even more.

"Then come and get her, loser, " Karl starts to provoke, "She looks like a lost dog when I told her that you have done nasty things. Does she knows what you do for a living, Mr. Taejoon?"

The question caught Taejoon off guard. He freezes at the thought of his long-kept secret got revealed, "Shut the fuck up, Karl."

Despite the warning, Karl once again bursts into laughter, "Ah, it will be so fun telling her now."

Taeyeon looks at Karl as curiosity starts creeping in. As far as she knows, he is a manager at a publishing company. He even once snapped his photo in front of the office. Hearing Taejoon being defensive over him telling his job makes her wonder, was it just a lie all along?

"Karl, don't you--"

"You know," Karl averts his gaze to Taeyeon but still keeps the phone close, ensuring that Taejoon hears every word, "Your brother is the most prominent leader of outlaws. Do you know what outlaws are? They kill, torture, and scam money out of people. And he feeds you with that."

Taeyeon's heart stops as she feels a strike of pain across it. Her lips are slightly parted, unable to comprehend the words she just heard. Half of her wants to wake up from this awful dream.

"Don't lie to me." Taeyeon's jaw tenses as she speaks. Taejoon will never do this to me.

Karl snickers, moving the phone closer to Taeyeon, "You tell her, Taejoon."

A terrible silence glowers upon the phone call. Nothing comes out of Taejoon's mouth. There's no point in denying nor explaining. He is entirely busted.

"I'm sorry, Taeyeon..."

The verge of tears that covers her vision eventually falls as she lets out a forceful breath.

The whole situation is ridiculous. First, she was abducted. And now the only person she trusts in this world deceived her? Taeyeon almost let out a laugh in sheer disbelief.

It never occurred to her that Taejoon would betray her like this.

Taeyeon turns her head away, sobbing quietly through her crumpled world.

Karl chuckles, "Am I here for a drama or something?"

She shuts her eyes tight, both offended and upset by the remarks. The feeling of betrayal slowly sinks in as she cannot even trust the last shouts from Taejoon that she can hear from a distance as Karl walks out.

"I will come to you! Please wait for me!"
