Cedric's boots made a loud thump as he landed next to Tess in the stands. She was still staring at the Slytherin's message, a book wide open in her lap, but untouched ever since the practice began.

"Who're you texting?" Cedric's voice was always honey and it was one of the things she loved about him, but when his tone was latched with suspicion, it turned bittersweet.

Her screen went dark as she pressed the close button, hiding the source of her embarrassment from her boyfriend. It was a thing when her confession friend made the dirty jokes, but it was completely something else when she misunderstood him.

"Just my confession friend, nothing too special."

Cedric crouched in front of her, making them be eye level. His chocolate brown eyes burnt into her, always seeming unravel the thread of tension she held.

Each time she was reminded why she fell in love with him, why he was her safe place. She didn't anyone could change that.

The Hufflepuff grabbed her tie, which she shouldn't be wearing on a weekend, but it was her go to look sometimes, and pulled her towards him, his lips crashing roughly against hers.

"Don't forget your place," he whispered, biting her bottom lip before taking off again towards his team mates.

Cedric left Tess more flustered than he had found her.
