Basically Steve and Robin moment. Just them for now. I'll continue the small fic in the next part. Possibly would be a 5 part series. We'll see how it goes.

...

.When he stirred, Steve felt a jolt along his back that sent a strained tingle up his neck and jumped started his brain. Steve's eyes flew open and tears pooled along the bottom of his eyes. He tried to hide it, tried to blink the pain away, but it didn't work. His face twisted in pain.

He bit his upper lip, exhaling deeply, and when his eyesight started to clear, a shadowed figure approached. He let out a strained moan when the silhouette turned out to be Robin. She was still blurry, but it was definitely her, she could smell her vanilla and jasmine scent anywhere.

She knelt beside him, and he attempted to lift his head. But, his wounds did not let him, and his face fell flat against the pillow.

"Hey Dingus," Robin softly murmured.

Steve allowed his eyes to close while Robin whispered sweet nothings into his ear. Pain was shooting through his back, and his eyes shut further, they shut tightly, not allowing a single tear to pour. He twisted the comforter in between his palms and let out a shaky breath of warm air.

"Am I dead?"

She let out a small chuckle.

"No, Steve, can't die yet I'm afraid."

Her breath was calming against his face, against his ear. Apparently, Robin was trying to comfort him. At least, it was what he thought. Although he could not focus and couldn't see her clearly due to his blurred vision, he appreciated the effort.

There was more gentle and sweet murmuring, and Steve found it strongly comforting. He let himself relax, forcing the tension away from his back and his arms, and took a few deep breaths to calm himself.

"Where am I, Robin?"

"Wheeler house, you just got back from the hospital, don't tell me you didn't feel us transport you, you even talked."

"How long was I out."

Robin chewed her lip.

"4 days, Eddie and Max are still in the hospital."

Steve would've answered if he hadn't drifted out of consciousness, apparently, they'd drugged him so he'd stay asleep to not feel the pain so much.

Steve thought he felt her nose along his cheek, and the corner of his lips lifted into a sad but pleased smile. Instinctively, he rubbed his face against her warmth, he let out a groan of appreciation, which was all he could muster from his scratchy throat to try and thank Robin. He tried to open his eyes again, he saw the side of Robin's cheek as she nuzzled him sheepishly.

"I'm glad you're safe, Robin," Steve murmured.

"I'm glad you're safe too, Harrington, couldn't have you dying on me."

She dove in again, brushing her nose against his cheek that sent a delightful shiver down his body. Contrary to Robin's statement, Steve thought there was a good chance he was dead or dreaming. Still, in a haze of some sort, Steve decided that if it were either one or if it was real, he'd give himself this one moment. One moment to proclaim his love, again.

Her scent was engulfed in his nostrils, and the close proximity, the loving and intimate gesture took him back to their battle in the Upside Down, where her aroma had engulfed his everything, and she held his face so gently.

Finding the courage and making up his mind, he brought his hand to hold the side of Robin's face to guide her closer. Her nose touched his for a second, and he heard her breathing stop.
