I got up and shook off all the flashbacks, things I call unhealthy flashbacks, tucking my hair behind my ear I decided to get changed, I took a cold shower to refresh my mind and get everything off my mind but it seemed rather difficult.
Packing my hair in a bun I got dressed in a big t-shirt and some sleeping sweats then jumped on my bed to watch some television when I got a facetime call from Jonathan, I was more than excited, it almost felt like his call was what I needed to get everything off my mind.
"hey Arya" he said smiling
"Jonny!" I squealed
"how you holding up over there" he asked as I sighed
"you will never guess who I met in the elevator" I said ready to spill the tea
"WHO?!" He squealed giving off the same energy
"your lifetime crush, Dionne!" I said laughing, Jonathan didn't like Dionne as much as I didn't she was always throwing herself at him, one time Jonathan and I were at a party and I went away to get a drink and I turned around to see her trying to kiss Jonathan he got so mad he pushed her in the pool on accident, I laughed my ass off that night but I guess she didn't find it as funny as I did because she glared everyday at school after that, she was just too much to handle.
"ugh what did she say?" he said sounding so irritated
"oh nothing too serious!" I said "only that she had no clue that Mateo and I are over, she asked me about him" I said rolling my eyes
"she probably heard just wanted to tease you" he scoffed
"that's what I was thinking, but she looked and sounded genuinely clueless" I said laughing a little
"well that's odd, you'd think she will be the first to hear since she was basically rooting and praying for you guys demise" he said laughing as I smiled
"well her prayer did save my life" I said nervously chuckling
"did it?" he said
"Not this again Jonathan" I said letting out a sigh
"look Arya ever since you guys broke up you have been so different and so many things changed, now I am not saying I want you guys to get back together because I wouldn't want u to be enduring something as terrible as that but....." he said sighing "you literally moved to a different city" he said, as painful as it was Jonathan was right about one thing I did change and I did do some things that may have ended really bad but it wasn't for Mateo.
"Jonny, thank you for caring" I said smiling "but everything that has happened didn't happen because Mateo and I broke up, its just....my own decision ok?" I said assuring him
"ok if u say so I won't push it" he said
"yeah, and also so you stop worrying so much, I'm fine ok?" I said smiling as he laughed
"I'm not worried" he said as I gasped
"so you don't care about me?, wow ok tough love" I said trying to guilt trip him
"nice try Arya, but I can't be guilt tripped" he said confidently
"whatever" I laughed "oh yeah how are you keeping up over there" I said
"oh me I'm totally having fun and not missing you" he said looking away
"oh really?" I said
"yeah totally pfft" he said
"oh ok let me just end this call then so you can get to whatever you were doing" I said teasing
"WAIT, I mean, there is no need for that Arya" he said as I laughed
