Hello Puppets AU: The show goes on

The arrival of 2 new helpers

Amra woke up to the sound of her alarm clock and got of the bed. She walked out of her room and noticed that her older sister isn't up yet. She knew that because her door was still locked.
But she brushed it off and decided to wake her up later after she's done with the bathroom.

When she came out of the bathroom, she saw her dad knocking on the door just to wake her up. "Adri! Wake Up! its your first day! We're going to be late!" My dad yelled just for her to hear. She opened the door and she look confused 'oh she probably forgot again'  Amra thought to herself. Amra then went towards her dad and reminded her sister about being a volunteer in Handeemen's HQ.

"Oh Shoot! I completely forgot about that! " Adri closed her door to her room and got her clothes. She then ran to the bathroom just to get ready. While that happens, Amra decided to get some bread from the kitchen and ate it while her sister got ready.

Once Adri was done, she went back to her room just to double check if she has everything in her bag. Once she's done, She quickly ran down stairs and exclaimed that she was done and it was time to go.  Her dad, aunt and her younger sister were waiting and then they all left the house.

Once they all got on the car. Amra puts on her earphones and plays her favorite songs while looking at the window. Her sister however, starts a conversation with her sister.

"Uhh sis?"

"Hm?" Amra responds as she took off her earphone on one side.

"How do you feel about that we're about to be working here? Like, we are working at a place where our childhood is made"

"I think it's pretty cool. Heck we get to find out what happens behind the scenes though" Amra answers back.

"Plus, we get a close view on how the puppets work. I heard a lot of puppeteers were baffled because of how the puppets were made and moved." Amra expands her answer. Amra then asks her a question just to keep the conversation going.

"Which of the handeemen puppets do you like?"

I like Riley of course. She's the scientific one of the group. And what about you?

Amra thought of it "Well I do like all of them for a reason but I'll say that my favorite is gotta be Nick Nack. I kinda related to him a lot. Like, Having an interest in art, music and other stuff like that" Amra replied but her sister expects that answer from her.

"I also kinda like him too, although he's pretty creepy for some people, he's honestly pretty funny." Her sister said and they later chatted about other things just to entertain themselves during the trip.

A few minutes later, they were finally here. They all got off the car and walked to the entrance of the HQ. Once they got in the two girls looked around their surroundings and noticed a woman walking up to them.

"Oh Mr. Ramos, these must the new helpers" the woman notices the girls "Ah yes, you're right. Also you can call me Joseph" he answers back to the woman. "Girls, this is my coworker, Robin." Joseph introduced the woman to both of the girls and they greeted her back. One greeted her by saying hello meanwhile the other girl waved and smile.

Robin noticed one of the sisters weren't talking. "Most of our staff are trained to learn ASL, so if you have trouble communicating with words you could sign them out. " Robin told them in a nice tone. Thankfully Amra knew how to communicate in sign language 'Thank my aunt' she thought to herself in relief.

After their introductions, Robin gave them blank name tags and hands them a pen to write their names on. "Here are your name tags, and please don't lose them. You need them to enter the headquarters. " She explains to the girls. Both of the girls understood. And wrote their names on it. The name tags were green and had the word "Volunteer" on it.

Later on, she gives them a tour of the main parts of the place. She left the lobby and stated with the cafeteria since it was the nearest place to the lobby. The next, she lead them to the elevator and got to the second floor.

Once they got on there, both of the girls immediately knew what this floor is for. From the cameras to the set ups, it doesn't take much effort to know what this floor is for. "This is floor is used to film our show. " she said explained. She then went on to explain the girls bout where the different sets were, the supply rooms, and the rules in this room.

"There is also a third floor but it's for meetings and other things like that" she said to the girls. Robin then allowed the girls to look around the studio, but before they even explored the floor, their dad and aunt decided that it's a good time to introduce them to the puppets first.

The two parental figures decided to split them apart. Joseph is with Amra meanwhile her sister Adri gets to be with Aunt Gracie. Joseph lead Amra to the art set up. The set up was a room with glass walls and it was decorated with paintings and masks and right there. She saw Nick Nack reading his script for the recording. "Nick Nack!" Joseph called out as he walked towards him. Amra followed him but was also weirded out 'It's Nick Nack but... How is he moving on his own?' she wondered to herself as she tries to keep it casual like its normal.

"ahh yes, my good assistant, Joseph I see you brought in a new helper. I'm assuming that she's one of your daughters that you were talking about." 

"yep, she's of of them" Joseph confirmed and introduced her to the puppet. Amra waved back and slightly smiled at him. "she's not quite the talker I see." Nick assumed. "Amra doesn't really talk that much, but maybe later on you two would get along and she'll talk." 

"Well that's ok, it happens to some people" Nick assured both of them. "I also think that you two might get along really well." Joseph added as he lists down a bunch of things tat she has in common with Nick. "Oh my, well that's great. its good to hear that someone could relate to me on that level. Well I hope we can work together Amra." he said as he and Amra shook their hands.

Amra then notices a man carrying one of the easels for the canvases. So she joined in and helped them out. "Oh my, she's going to be a great helper then." Nick said as he watches her helping the man while still holding his script. "Well Amra you could help out with the set and both of can get along." Joseph said as he left to go check on the others.

As Amra placed the easel down Nick told her that from what her father says, Amra and him are really going to get along. Amra smiled Nodded her head in agreement.
