MJ POV

On my way to the locker room to continue celebrating with the team, MJ was pulled away from the group by Jonatan who wanted to have a word with MJ.

"You were amazing out there MJ," Jonatan said

"Thanks, coach it means a lot," MJ said

"I have to tell you that you have been loaned out you will be joining Olympique Lyonnais for the next season with an option to buy," Jonatan said with an unreadable expression

"Okay coach I enjoyed my time here thank you for the opportunity" MJ shook Jonatan's hand before going back outside to sit on the Barcelona ground instead of going into the locker room.

MJ didn't know what to think she had been playing well for Barcelona she had been training all the time just for them to loan her out. She was hurt but she didn't want to show it so she kept herself together almost as if she was numb from the pain almost as if she didn't care. She. made her way toward the locker room and as she entered she made eye contact with Mapi who was having a blast dancing and partying. 

All MJ could do is get to the showers shower and get her clothes and leave and she didn't look back. Alexia was quick to follow MJ out.

"MJ" Alexia shouted

"MJ" Alexia once again shouted 

"what ale" MJ said

"What's wrong what happened"

"You don't know"

"No, I don't tell me what happened"

"Ive been loaned out to Olympique Lyonnais with an option to buy," MJ said with a sad chuckle

"No they wouldn't you have been playing good" Ale said with tears in her eyes

"Well they did Ale my time in Barcelona has come to an end and I am glad I got to be friends with you again," MJ said with tears in her eyes too

"No" was all Alexia could say she was now crying she couldn't hold it in anymore she was upset she wanted to be with MJ till the end.

MJ gave her a hug scared that if she let go she will lose her she wanted to be with Alexia. She was happy and she thought that maybe the summer vacation could help get them together but nope she had to be in France in a day. Which only gave her enough time to pack up her stuff and move.

2 weeks later

MJ had been training every day since she arrived in Lyon she wanted to show Barcelona that they shouldn't have let her go. MJ had done her signing for Lyon which was fast all the girls welcomed her with open arms. 

MJ hadn't spoken to Alexia or more Alexia had stopped answering MJ. MJ was upset, to say the least, she hated how fast things changed between her and Alexia but right now she need to focus on getting better and that meant she had to train harder than anyone else.

"Ellie " MJ shouted trying to get the forwards attention 

"MJ how may I help you"Ellie  answered

"Wanna go for a run with me please," MJ said giving her puppies eyes and trying to convince the forward

'' MJ we just got home kid from practice shower and nap and then when you wake up we will go for a run"Ellie said she loved the kid since the first time she saw her and she watched over the kid as if she was her mom.

"Okay," MJ said going up the stairs

MJ lived with Ellie Carpenter and Daniëlle van de Donk Ron since she had come to Lyon they had made being away feel like home. Daniëlle had been very welcoming to MJ they had been training together both wanted to improve. Elli loved watching how Daniëlle was with MJ it was like mother and daughter bonding.

Ellie could tell MJ was struggling mentally but she didn't know how to help because even at times she would struggle. Mental health is something managers don't take seriously but at Lyon, everyone takes it very seriously they want the best for their athletes even if they need a break. 

MJ isn't the type of person to say she needs a break but when it comes to mental health she puts it first. Someone MJ looked up to a lot was Christen press she put her mental health break after winning the World Cup she took a step back and recognize that she need the break. Same with the Olympics she took a break and that's what everyone should do take a break when their mental health isn't good your not weak.

MJ had finished napping and when she woke up she was really hungry so she made her way downstairs and went to look for her "moms" when she found them they had already started cooking so she made her way outside to do some yoga before she would eat.

MJ had always wanted a family given that hers never wanted her. When she went to Barcelona she still didn't feel like she had a family with the girls but the move to Lyon gave her a family since the start the girls were very welcoming they cared for her they pushed her to be better and that's all she ever wanted.

MAPI- Hey we need to talk

MJ- Umm can we talk some other time it's late here and I need to do some stuff

MAPI- Its something just fast

MAPI- Alexia is dating someone new I just wanted to tell you before you found out some other way.

MJ didn't answer she didn't know what to say but what she did know is that she felt numb and she knew that she wanted to beat Barcelona and that's all that mattered from now on.
