The dissapearance

The next morning Eddie and y/n wake up to his radio alarm playing, 'Heat of the Moment' by Asia
"Asia?" Y/n giggles as she sits up to look at Eddie.

"Mornin," he says smiling at the sight of her face, "morning" y/n replies with a wide grin.

They get both get dressed y/n wears the same outfit as the day before while Eddie wears a similar but different outfit to the one he wore.

They drive to school.

As they enter the school doors before the bell rings one of the jocks shout "WALK OF SHAME!" Everyone laughs, what y/n didn't anticipate was people seeing her before the game yesterday and noticing her clothes, she doesn't care though they're idiots. The school day goes as scheduled, during lunch the whole table was mesmerised by the fact Eddie and y/n even stayed in the same room for a whole night they didn't know about the events during At the end of the day, y/n had to go home so her parents didn't worry or think she was kidnapped, "I'll see you tomorrow?"
Y/n said anticipating that they'll hang out a lot in the summer break, "definitely" Eddie replies with the same expectation

The next morning as y/n is preparing to meet Eddie, she is in the living room watching tv when a news alert comes on, "Hawkins high student dead", as she's watching y/n recognises where the reporter is, it's Eddie's trailer, "oh shit" she mumbles under her breath, fumbling out of her chair she heads out the door and she jumps into her car heading straight to the trailer.

As she arrives she sees a young red-haired girl the one that she used to see with Dustin and Lucas all the time looking into the trailer then getting pushed away by the police. Y/n drives towards her, "Hey you're Dustin's friend right?" She asks quickly "yeah?" The young girl answers confused, "what did you see in there?" Y/n asked scared it might be Eddie " a-a girl in a Hawkins cheer uniform" she replies shaken, "did you see Eddie Munson?" Y/n hurries her, and the girl answers "no, who are you why-" the girl is cut off when an officer walks past, "everything ok here ladies? He asks, "yes officer I'm just here to take her to the mall" y/n answers the officer, he walks away, "Get in" y/n turns to the girl, "why?" The girl asks, "I need help to find Dustin and you'll know where he is " y/n answers, she saw that Dustin and Eddie were close and thought he may know where he'd be, "what's your name? I forgot to ask"
y/n states, "Max" the girl replies, "nice to meet you Max I'm y/n now where does Dustin live?" Y/n asks urgently.

Max and y/n drive to Dustin's house, when they knock on the door they're greeted by his mother, "hi Mrs Henderson is Dustin here?" Max asks, "why yes he is, Maxine it's been a while, I'll go get him" Mrs Henderson replies "DUSTY YOUR FRIENDS ARE HERE" she shouts, "COMING" Dustin replies, when he gets to the door Max immediately says "We need to talk NOW" pulling him back to his room
y/n follows after them, "turn on the tv," y/n says pacing back and forth, as the news flickers on Dustin mutters "oh shit", "do you have any idea where he would go?" Y/n asks, "maybe to one of his friends' houses?" Dustin replies, "do you know where they live??" Y/n presses, "No but we can go to the video shack," Dustin says in epiphany, "The shack?? Why would we need a movie right now??" Y/n questions him in frustration, "We can get his friends' addresses from there" Dustin points annoyed, "oh... well let's go! Go!" Y/n rushes the two kids out the door.

They arrive at the Video Shack.

Dustin and Max burst through the door, Steve begins to ask "what are you guys-" but is cut off by Dustin jumping over the counter, "MY CDS" a brown-haired girl y/n didn't recognise shouted, Steve looks up at y/n with a smirk, "Hey welcome to the radio sh-", "back off Harrington we're her for addresses " y/n cutting him off, "do I know you? And what addresses? What's going on?" Harrington asks looking back and forth between Dustin on the computer, Max on the phone and Y/n crossing her arms pacing back and forth behind the counter, "Steve 'the hair' Harrington king of Hawkins high until you graduated everyone knows you dude, we're looking for Eddie, have you not seen the news?" Y/n says looking straight into his eyes, Steve turns on the TV he and the girl look at the tv in shock,

" and you guys don't think he did this?" Steve asks looking at them all.
"No," y/n and Dustin say jerking their heads in his direction.

Max hesitates since she barely knows Eddie, search goes on for hours until Max turns around "I think I have a lead" everyone turns to her, "There's this guy everyone keeps suggesting 'Reefer' Rick?" She announces, y/n interjects "he was my neighbour but, he's been in jail for a week now", "Apparently people have been seeing someone in his house concerned it may be he but what it's not?" Max suggests looking at everyone, y/n bursts through the doors heading straight to her car everyone else follows getting in Steve's car.

As soon as they pull up y/n and everyone are searching through the windows of Rick's house shouting for Eddie. As they get to the back of the property Dustin notices a boat house, "Hey guys" he shouts running towards the mouldy shack.

The group cautiously enter the inside of the boat house a boat covered in a blue tarp lays on the water, Steve grabs a wood oar stabbing at the tarp, "Steve, what are you doing?" Dustin whispers, "Well I'm not gonna do it with my bare hands" Steve whispers back, "what if there's a wild animal or something?" Y/n asks looking behind bits of rusted equipment, "Dont worry Steve will get it with his oar-" Dustin says this but is cut off by something jumping up from under the tarp. Eddie is holding a broken beer bottle against Steves's neck, "whoa whoa Eddie it's us it's Dustin!" Pointing at himself Dustin tries to calm the distressed Eddie, he introduces everyone including the brown haired girl now known as Robin she was in band,"Steve why don't you drop the oar," Dustin insits, Steve drops the air but it startles Eddie causing him to hold the bottle tighter, "We're on your side!, I swear on my mother" Dustin pleads, "yup on Dustin's mother" everyone agrees staring at Eddie hoping he lowers his makeshift red-neck killer.

"Eddie please" y/n begs looking into his eyes they're brimming with tears, he removes the bottle from Steve's neck.
