- Awakening the Trauma -

We finally reached Goa after so much struggle. A mysterious old man, confusing crossroads, annoying traffic, jamming gmaps... Too much drama for a 600 kilometers trip. Though I enjoyed it, I must admit that this idea was so insane. This is our first road trip but we chose the most long track. We should've been aware of the risks. But we just thought about the best part without thinking about the worst. After meeting that old man, my mind couldn't think clearer. Luckily I got Shahrukh handling all of it so we could reach here safely.

Aryan booked a very beautiful room. We love it so much. It faces the beach directly, so when we opened the window our eyes landed directly towards the Arabian Sea. We could see the sunrise and sunset from the balcony. It has been so long since I got this view.. And with my husband by my side, it just feels better and dreamier.

This is our third night being here. I'm still on top of Shahrukh, just finished our game. He wrapped his arms around me as we laughed for nothing. We enjoyed our honeymoon. We have a lot of time to talk to each other, discuss many things, and catch up with what we left some years ago. It's like starting over again. We had agreed to make things work for us. To reach the goal, this is our first step.

"You're never changed. Amazing as always." He kissed my hair while rubbing my back.

I drowned my face on his bare chest and giggled. I could feel my cheeks hot from his praise. Our skin touched each other tenderly as the night breeze of the sea filled the room. It's so noisy out there but we felt only peace and heaven. Like we're in our own world.

"So do you."

I feel the time has turned back to twenty years ago when he always praises me, touches me, and loves me. I got his old self back. Our bond became stronger and inseparable. At the end of every quarrel, love always wins in its own way. Just like us.

Honestly I don't want this moment to end yet. But my stomach was demanding to be filled. Though I'm happy and satisfied, these hours of game made me tired as hell. I left some kisses on his chest and then sat up.

"Baby, I'm starving."

He didn't answer me immediately. Instead, he gave me that seducing look.

"Of what?"

I rounded my eyes and slapped his chest. "Idiot! I'm really hungry. Let's get something to eat."

He giggled and sat up. Apparently he gave up. "Okay, okay. Let's grab something to eat, shall we?"

I smiled and pecked his lips before running into the bathroom. We cleaned up and headed out to the restaurant. I brought a paper bag with gift for him. The restaurant isn't that far. We just have to walk a few meters to reach there. The restaurant has been our regular choice since we came here. They served the best low-fat seafoods so I can maintain the diet. Also, it's located near the beach. I could hear the waves hitting the rocks in the shoreline.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked when we had settled down on a table. I turned my eyes on him from the sea.

"Could we stay here forever? I don't want to leave." I'm honest. I don't want time to round. I just want to pause it right here.

Shahrukh raised his eyebrow. "But why? Don't you love our lives now?"

"I do. I only wish I could live this moment forever. With you, the moonlight, and the sea..."

"You'll get that, queen." He reached for my hand and kissed it. "I won't run anywhere. Promise."

His dimple smile succeeded in comforting me. I always had the feeling of losing him again. Whenever I feel that, his smile comes as a savior. I know he won't leave me again just by looking at the glint in his eyes.
