A second is all it takes for your life to turn around. One little mishap can ruin your relationships with others and be the start of your downfall, no matter how old you are.
Kaileen Parker learned this fact the hard way.
She and her twin sister, Josette, had just turned six. The two girls were different. Complete opposites some would say. Kaileen, or mostly known as Kai, was an artistic little girl with strawberry blonde hair who loved to learn and spend her time in her home's library. She listened to her dad's stories of the monsters that he has vanquished and learned cool words from him daily. It was their dynamic. Her father would give her a word, and when he came back from a long day at work she would tell him what language it was and what the word translated to, only after she told him about the stuff she learned at school of course.
Josette... she was a sassy little thing. She always had her brown locks down for school with a headband stating that 'she looks smarter like that.' She loved playing outside with her friends and fashion magazines that her mom would give to her. The girl wasn't a big fan of school but she loved bugs, and animals, and learning about them. Josette was closer to the twins' mom and Kai was closer to their dad.
