"Eyes up."
His eyes flick up to yours before going back to his game.
"Jeongguk, you haven't texted in weeks." Your expression reeks of disappointment, but all your boyfriend is focusing on is the video game in front of him.
"There's this event going on," He mumbles distracted. "Need to win this time."
"Baby, you're literally living a 2D life," You roll your eyes. "It's just a waste of time."
"Not for me." He mumbles, chewing on his bottom lip as he nails a headshot.
"Gguk," You sigh when he hums in response, eyes still on his PC. "Jeongguk, look at me."
He tries. That's all you can say as his gaze repeatedly flits between you and the monitor's screen.
"Jeongguk, I can't like this," You frown. "I came over because I was worried, dammit. But you won't even leave this damned thing to talk to me."
A player with a fancy hat shoots him down. With his character waiting to respawn, he finally looks at you properly.
"Baby, I'm really sorry. I know you don't get it but this means a lot to me, so please try to understand." Damn those doe eyes. But you're truly tired of being lonely despite having a boyfriend.
"And what do I mean to you?" You ask quietly, frown deepening.
"Jagi, you know you mean a lot to me too." He mirrors your frown.
"Then quit your game and spend the night with me." You raise an eyebrow.
His eyes widen for a millisecond before going back to normal.
"What?"
"You heard me," You shrug. "It's me or the PS5."
His character respawns. His eyes flit to the screen before meeting yours again.
"Can- can I finish this round first?" He pleads desperately, fingers maneuvering the controller. "I'll put it away after that, promise."
"I'm going to say this only one more time," You say slowly. "If your PC is more your type, then you can make do with your hand later."
His fingers slip over the controller, his character being caught in the crossfire of his team and the opposite team.
