"I wonder if it's too late to be un-adopted." I sighed at the stupidity that this family runs on.

I glanced towards Alastor as Five started walking away to see him staring down Luther with his famous smile. Luther seemed very uncomfortable while Alastor looked like he wanted to kill Luther. I walked over to Alastor to make an attempt to calm him down.

"Hey, Al. It's fine, calm down. We need to head back."

"Alright, darling."

We started walking off not too far behind Five. I took one more glance to Luther, glaring at him before turning my full attention back in front of me.

"So, what, you just let her go?" Diego asked us, while Lila tended to his wound again.

I was sitting on Al's lap again, on the couch in front of Lila and Diego while Five kept pacing behind Lila and Diego, holing a piece of paper.

"Well, Vanya had a lot to process."

"Besides, it's not like we 'let her go'. She just drove off."

"You have powers, Y/n. You can just poof her back here."

"Would you respond well if I did that to you?" I asked him as he just blankly stared at me, struggling to figure out what to say. "Exactly. The best thing we can do right now is let her process it and wait for her to come to us."

"Where did all this wisdom come from?" Diego asked me.

"Probably from Al. He has a lot of wisdom for someone that's a murderer." I laughed, Alastor soon following.

"You guys are weird." Diego responded.

"Wait, you're murderers? Oh, shit. That's kinda cool." Lila said.

"Thanks!" Alastor and I said at the same time.

"Yep. Still weird." Diego soon remembered what we were discussing earlier. "What about the guys that went after her?"

"The Swedes?" Five asked.

"Yeah, I mean, how do you know they won't go after her again?" Diego asked as Elliot came in handing a cup of coffee to Lila and setting down two more cups of coffee on the table.

I grabbed one of the cups and mouthing a thank you to Elliot, which he nodded in return. Five came up as he spoke, grabbing the other cup of coffee.

"We don't."

"Mm, any idea who sent them?" Lila asked.

"Oh, I have my suspicions." He smiled. "But right now, our priority is finding Dad and getting answers, 'cause everything else depends on it." He continued, sitting down.

"Which, for the record, I found him already." Diego mentioned.

"And then let him go before we could have a meaningful conversation." Five retorted back.

I snicked, sipping my cup of coffee, earning a smirk from Alastor.

"He stabbed me."

"I'm surprised he waited this long, Diego. We've all had the urge." I spoke with a sly smirk as Alastor grabbed the coffee from my hand and started sipping it. But then earned a laugh from Alastor and Lila, and a chuckle from Elliot.

"Good one!" Lila raised her hand towards me and I couldn't help but high-five her.

"That was a good one, toots!" Angel said, walking into the room.
